How to micro! Tips and Tricks !
By badboyIvan
okay so stop being monkey if u want to be GENERAL status constant attention to the map and where your units are and paying attention to in game alerts(naval invasions, low supply).
Here are some movements to look for:

-Salients you have, this is where your troops(may be tanks or the cream of the crop of your army) is positioned in a thin line deep into enemy territory with a width of only 1-3 tiles. This is extremely vulnerable if not properly defended and can lead to encirclements if you don't attempt a push on the sides of the salient or pull a deceptive counter-encirclement or attack during an enemy encirlement operation.

- Control right click to engage in a 'support attack', this makes the unit engage in the battle but if it's won the selected troop won't move into the designated tile. This allows for troops to maintain a defensive position

- Learn to constantly look at the map for special units! If you see huge troop movements such as tanks or special units such as marines or mountaineers, Keep a close eye out these troops. But keep in mind to balance between concentrated and dispersed warfare. What I mean is to not just keep all your 9 tank divisions in one area or to always spread them out. Having 1-2 tank divisions behind the frontline ready to move into an enemy operation allows you to always maintain the initiative.

- Know the land! Mountains, Jungles, Forests, and Marshes are your WORST enemy! Unless you've grinded a general to have traits that counter-act these tile debuffs(Ranger, Mountaineer, Hill-Fighter). But keep in mind that these tiles may result in the enemy putting less troops on these easily defendable positions. But like Hannibal, you too can go through these with the right divisions!

- MARSHES: Mostly in Russia Between Kiev and Misk, this area is low in supply and is not worth attacking due to the attrition and excessive lost of equipment due to the low infrasturcture!
- Enact a 'Bait and Switch' If you have the numbers or can deceive the enemy with your troop numbers(Using the 'False Intelligence' to have fake units) can cause your enemy to move from areas to defend an unlikely attack(Just like D-DAY!)

- Retreating from a battle: If your unit is holding but losing the battle, this unit can only move ONE tile away, meaning you can only retreat it into a nearby tile. Retreating from a battle manually is faster than Frontline AI(You'll know if it shows a black arrow). If your unit icon has a flag next to it, this means that it cannot be controlled until its reached it's retreating tile, meaning its extremely vulnerable to overruns!

- Field Marshal frontlines: When using a field marshal to draw a front line, hold SHIFT the entire time to create a line that balances troop numbers!

- When concentrating with tanks, instead of having to individually commanding troops to support the attack, make sure the infantry is under a front line, and press the 'commence' button but dont draw a spearhead or offensive line. This allows for troops to never attack on their own but will automatically support attack any battle

This might not be perfect but this is my knowledge. I'd be glad to 'tutor' you just add me on discord Ivann#5958

This isn't a FULL fledged guide because that would take a while but I might consider making a video or 'tutoring'. This is just what I've learned over 1500 hours and if you're 'experienced' take this guide with a grain of salt
