This is probably caused by your anti virus false detecting some game files.

About Workshop:
Subscribing to workshop items is not enough, mods for this game need to be installed into the game directory. There is a tool for this included in the game - WorkshopInstaller.exe, but current version has some issues.

Current version - since 2022:
- Error on launch when subscribed to less than 2 mods (or steam has not downloaded them yet)
- Error when uninstalling mods in the same session after installing mods (avoid by reopening the tool before uninstalling mods)
Solution: use the updated version or the "Custom Workshop Installer"

This is probably caused by bad savefile, try deleting it. If it comes back, disable Steam Cloud Sync for this game.

DLC cars not loading:
- on existing career the game will crash when trying to load them,
- on new career they just will not show up anywhere.
This is caused by "Speedy Launch & Main Menu".
As the author suggests, use "Classic Main Menu" instead.
(If you really want to use the mod, then install "GameLogic Stuff" on top of it.)
