⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Hello, let me start by defining what a guide means : "A guide represents the
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀totality of the information put together in a way that is as visible and legible as
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀possible in order to guide, to help the people in need
."

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀In my opinion on steam, the most viewed / used guides are the ones that help you
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀arrange your profile and the ones for games (ex: GTA SA, CS: GO, Dota 2 etc ...)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Want to know a secret how to have many followers in your guides? ᶜʳᵉᵃᵗᵉ ᵃᵉˢᵗʰᵉᵗⁱᶜ ᵍᵘⁱᵈᵉˢ

How to create a guide

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If you want to create a guide for steam use this link :

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If you want to create a guide for any game on steam use this link :
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀For example if you want to create a guide for CS:GO the appid for CS:GO is 730 so i will use this link : " https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/editguide/?appid=730 " you can change "753" with any appid you want.

How to customized a guide

The first time you must :
  • You choose a name for the guide
  • Add an avatar to the guide (can be gif or simple 2MB)
  • Add a description (if you want)
  • Add a category (if you want)
  • Check the box what say you are the owner

Guide Contents
Define the organization of your guide and the name for sections within your guide. You can drag sections to reorder them.

Images
Select and upload images you wish to reference in your guide. Upload all the necessary images here and they will be easily selectable when editing individual sections of your guide.

Add Contributors
Here you can add friends as contributors to grant them access to editing your guide.
You can add how many friends you want as an contribuitor.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀How to edit a section

  • The first thing is the Title box , where you need to put your title or the image.

  • Then you have the Section box, where you will need to fill that with your content.
Let me explain what this buttons do :

If you press on "Formatting help" will appear an box with all information about editing text.
If you press on "Insert Youtube video" you need to copy the URL from the video and paste on the box and the choose what side you like : right , left , center
  • B ( Bold ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • U ( Underline ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • i ( Italic ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • ab ( Strikethrough ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • 🔗 ( Link to hyperlink ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • 📋 ( List ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
  • H1 ( Highlight ) - [] text [] ~ "Without spaces"
You can use this for the title as well.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀After you have finished writing the information you must add helpful pictures.

  • Press on "Choose a file"
  • Open the folder what contain the image ( ex Desktop ) , he can be GIF | PNG | JPG
  • Press "upload" and you are done

⠀⠀⠀Click on the uploaded picture , it will appear this :

Choose what size and align you prefer and then press "Insert" , it will appear this :
previewimg=20225408;sizeOriginal,floatLeft;vas.png][/previewimg] ~ "Float" mean alignment
If you want to put the image on the Title , all you have to do is to copy the code and put in title.
Bonus

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The best images resolutions for guides are ( without using the quote , and code ) :
  • 638 x ( How long you want )

If you want to have a good guide all you have to do is to choose just one single color for all
( avatar , lines , images etc.. ) , make your guide visible ( easy to read ) .
DMCA

⠀⠀⠀⠀If you want to request DMCA use this link : https://steamproxy.net/dmca/create

⠀⊳⠀Provide a URL to the stolen content.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀In the first box paste a link to the stolen artwork or content.

⠀⊳⠀Describe the specific content belong to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀If you couldn't provide a direct link in first step, and could only provide a link to the page ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀the content is found on, point out where your content can be found on the page.

⠀⊳⠀Provide proof that the content belongs to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Include any information such as URLs, dates, account names involved, and where the ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀original content can be found.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀For a better request I recommend to including things such as a screenshot of the ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀original artwork created in a photo editing software where is visible all the layers of the ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀works.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀After you have completed the proof that you are the owner, you must fill in the form
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀that contains your private information.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The last thing you need to do is check the boxes that you are the owner of the guide and
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀that you are aware of the DMCA rules.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀That is, now all you have to do is wait until steam solves the problem, you will receive a ⠀⠀⠀⠀notification, you and the person to whom you did DMCA that the problem has been solved.
