Aircraft Functions

- Pushback feature. I've added a simple system to slowly reverse the aircraft on the ground. I've found in testing that this plane will get stuck a lot due to it's very wide wingspan. So, I've added a push button to the left of the pilot's seat called "Pushback". When the button is pushed, the plane's wheels will slowly reverse the plane. This system will only work when the engines are off because I am using small motors. Just thought it'd be useful.

- Throttle modes. Like in my most recent aircraft (the DeHavilland Comet) I've added a throttle switching system in this plane. There is a button on the front panel labeled "Switch throttle to up/down". When pressed, the buttons to control the throttle lever will switch to up/down arrow keys instead of the default 1/2 controls. It'll be as if the throttle was sticky.

- Cockpit Locks. I've added 2 cockpit locks on this plane, as I've found people like to invite themselves into the cockpit. One is just a key at the back of the cockpit labeled "Cockpit Lock", and the other is a breaker on the engineer's panel labeled "Side Door". This breaker (when on) will connect electricity to the front side door, allowing it to open. When it is off, the door is unable to open.

- Folding Wings. I put folding wingtips on the top wings to complete the full look of the aircraft. Once out of the hangar, it's best to unfold them using the button in the center floor of the cockpit.

Quick Notes/Quirks

When in flight, the plane's off weight will like to tilt the plane ever so slightly to the left because of a weight offset.

The plane will make it to the arctic and back if you refuel it to at least a little over half-a-tank once you've reached the arctic.

Startup Procedure

1 - Flip on "Main Electric" breaker

2 - (optional) Flip on "Side Door" breaker

3 - Turn on fuel pumps

4 - Put fuel mixture lever to 0.50

5 - Throttle up to 0.30

6 - Push and hold each engine starter button for about a second until all engines are started and running

7 - Get in pilot's seat and press three to turn off brakes

8 - (optional) Select throttle mode using throttle mode button

9 - Throttle up to 0.40 and taxi out of hangar

10 - Once wings are clear of the hangar, unfold using the button

11 - (optional) turn on lights

You're ready for taxi!

I plan to make more of these hard-to-find 1930s airliners.

One of the unique airliners of early 30s. It's contemporary airliner Ju 52/1m was only 1 month older.

If you add wing sections to tail, you may remove all weight blocks at the front. Because extra wing lift at the tail would fix stall (center of mass / tail heaviness) issue.

My personal opinion; I'd keep the length close to original even if I had to make body width few blocks wider.

Overall, very nice creation!
