It does look pretty sweet, watched a couple of videos for it and I might just think about it when I'm paid :P

I never played the Day z mod but from what others are saying the zombies are a lot less buggy on the standalone, the inventory management is better and there should be big patches once a month (next one is this week). There are lots of features missing atm because it is in alpha such as the variety of weapons and vehicles but they will be brought in somewhere down the line. If having to wait for the features does not bother you then deffo get it but otherwise wait :)

Is the stand alone version worth it in the Alpha stage? Been playing the mod but some of the features in the stand alone look sweeeeet!
