While the informant tasks are still active, the blue icon shows you which lane the street's task will spawn in.
Slay the Spire is a bit more obvious on this front, and I feel like BoR could learn a bit.
I did that, and I survived with 5 out of 6 heroes. My beaver (recruited from the event) were killed by the Warden. Others survived by stacking poisons.
If the first card you use are cards that will be banished after using them anyway, then the banner wastes his ability on that turn. I got rid of him first though as that ability is really annoying.
If you read this guide and notice things that are wrong, you're probably right. This was originally written based on the first Early Access version, which of course is going to change as the game develops.
