The Objective:
The objective of this league/event is simple; mine as many resources as you can as fast as you can. There are 30 mining "slots" in total, so it is a race against your opponent to mine as many slots as you can before they run out.
The Details:
The 30 mining slots are divided into 3 resources with 4 "depths". Depths can be considered as a reward level. The higher depth you are mining, the more resources you will receive.
Each league may actively mine in 1 slot, and have a 2nd slot "Reserved". Reserved slots are assigned to your league, but may not be mined until you finish the active mining slot.

Each slot has a specified amount of resources available, once those resources have been depleted, that slot is removed, and you must choose a new slot or depth. Once chosen, you will enter a cooldown period before beginning to mine on that slot. Higher depths have higher cooldowns.

Resources earned can be viewed in the Activity panel and will be rewarded upon event ending.
Mining Speed:
Mining speed will be shown by the value displayed below mercenaries.Your mining speed is displayed on main league page.

You will gain 5 speed for every mercenary level.
You will gain 50 speed for every BM level.
You will gain 20% speed for every mining level.

The mining speed determines how many "points" you can accumulate per second. Since each mining slot has a pre-defined points total that you must reach before mining is completed, the higher the better.

Example:

This league has a mining speed of 14.34k and needs to gather 648m points to complete mining for this slot. This will translate to roughly 12.5 hours of mining time.
Mining Rewards
The rewards you receive from each mining attempt are directly related to the contribution you have made to your league for it. The system will compare your speed vs the total league speed, and give you a reward for your contribution.

You will level up your league after completing the corresponding Depth.
Example: Clearing level 1 Depth grants League Level 2...clearing level 2 Depth grants League Level 3, and so on.
League levels are reset after every event.

The formula for this system is:
My Speed/Team Speed * Depth Stack

The depth stack can be determined by the following values:

The Requirements:
In order to participate, you will need to meet 3 criteria for optimal results. The leader is an important position for this event, as they will be responsible for all team deployments.

Step 1: Mercenary Assignment - You must choose 2 mercenaries to mine for you. These mercenaries MUST BE different from other league members mercs. The value shown is your "Mining Speed", higher levels and higher BM's will grant more speed.

Step 2: Team Deployment - Assign the mining teams to a designated mining node. You will see a flag appear indicating you have chosen this node. For strategy/tactics on node choices, some suggestions are made further in the guide.

Step 3: Bomb Placement - Choose a mining node to place a trap bomb for enemy. The enemy will not see the location of the bomb. The bomb will slow down mining progress for the enemy. This task must be done in the preparation phase, and cannot be changed once deployed. This task is optional, but recommended.
Some important things to consider:
Sharing is Caring - Since duplicate mercenaries cannot be used, it is important to communicate between your league, so everyone can use the best mercenaries possible. Not only is it fair for reward reasons, but it helps improve your league mining speed, which will give you more resources overall as well.

Not Enough Supply - There are 30 nodes in total, with each depth increase reducing the available slots by 1. Plan out what resources you will go for, and have a backup plan in case your opponent beats you to it. Depth 4 has 1 slot, the first league to reserve it, owns it.

Timing is everything - Not only will you have varying end times of each mining slot due to the mining speed of your league. You will also need to pay attention to the cooldown timers for each deployment, as they will change depending on Depth. Make sure your leader is up to the task that this might entail.
Strategy/Tactics:
Depth 4 Lockout - With Depth 4 having only 1 available slot, whoever reserves it first, is guaranteed to have mining rights to that node. Depending on your league's position...you might choose to mine lower depths faster, than waiting for a longer cooldown depth 4 that you might not make it to before opponent does.

Bombs Away - Bombs should never be placed on Depth 4 unless you are assuming your opponent will beat you there. The goal should always be to reach it 1st, to claim maximum rewards. Therefore, placing a bomb in depths 1-3 will potentially help you reach it before your opponent. A bomb placed on Depth 4 is best combo'd with mining lower depths quickly, making them "pay" for that depth 4 mine with a bomb.

The "bonus" stacks some received at the very start of the Mining Expedition are bugged, they should not have been awarded. The stacks since then are indicative of what you'd normally receive. The guide has been updated with the reward calculation/formula to help make since of it.

Thanks for the guide bonesy, was still not sure about the details with this league.
But I still don't understand the my rewards tab. How do you have 3 times wraithstones for over 6k each? We mined only a TOTAL of 5.6k at depth 3.
Also, is there a bonus for being the first to finish any mine?
My rewards say: "10k gold; 200 gold; 427 wraith; 889 wraith"
What we mined so far is: "Depth 1, 1k gold; Depth 2, 2.7k wraith; Depth 3, 5.6k wraith"
Currently we're wining gold at depth 4. Is that 10k in my rewards a temporary that will be replaced with my share once we finish, or is it a bonus for being the first to finish a gold mine?
