Real Dovahkiin Strength

Açıklama
7/10/2014 Update:

Changed mod to count only souls that haven't been spent to unlock Words of Power. I know there have been a couple requests for this, and upon revisiting this mod I think that is the better way to go.

If you prefer the old version, you can download it from this URL: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14815279/Skyrim/real_dovahkiin_original.zip

-----

When your Dovahkiin absorbs a dragon soul, he also absorbs a small portion of the dragon's power. This affects:
* Health
* Magicka
* Stamina
* Attack Damage
* Carrying Capacity

If you want your character to also receive a speed boost, also pair with Real Dovahkiin Speed: http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=21742

Now with a cool-looking custom shader effect!

NOTES:

I've marked this mod as a "cheat" because it does cause balance problems, especially if you grind dragons early on. However, the mod won't instantly make a new character ridiculously powerful, the progression is gradual, and I don't personally consider it much of a cheat.

Due to popular demand, I've split this mod in two parts. This part does not change your player's speed, and so you should have no problem playing with a keyboard.

SPECIFICS:

Your character gains power linearly based on the number of dragon souls absorbed, maxing out at 50 souls. The maximum values added:

Health/Magicka/Stamina: +250
Health/Magicka/Stamina Regen: 300%
Unarmed Damage: +50
Carry Weight: +500
Attack Damage: 300%

After 40 souls, your character gains permanent waterbreathing.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

If you experience problems with the latest update, try the following process:
1) Disable Real Dovahkiin Strength
2) Load your character
3) Create a save game
4) Re-enable Real Dovahkiin Strength

This should fix any problem you encounter.

UNINSTALL:

1. Unsubscribe/remove the mod. It's all self-contained now, so that will remove all affects.
2. In my testing step 1 works nearly 100% of the time, but I have had a lot of complaints that this mod does not uninstall correctly. Make sure you have a recent backup before installing this mod.

Will you be porting these to SSE?

you may want to find your mod's location in the skyrim files and make the second step for uninstalling delete that file.

Does this have anything to do with my armor rating lowering every time i beat a dragon?

Wow, this mod seems way less recognized than it should be, but if anyone does ever look at this again, I downloaded the old version then imported it in to MO (Mod Organizer) it solves the problems Elianora talks about, and the load order doesnt change unless you change it (or until LOOT adds it in to their masterlist :P)

NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) and Steam Workshop are completely different things. They don't conflict with each other, AFAIK, so you can use both simultaneously.

If using the launcher that *ships with the game* screws up your load order, you are doing some serious ju-ju I do not understand.

In any case, I'm not putting this mod on Skyrim Nexus. As I said before, if you want to develop a similar mod to this one, you're completely welcome to it. Then you can post it where ever you like.

@Blakeyrat
Dragon soul relinquishment is the only mod I know of that does things like this, though you directly spend souls on stats.

The reason I won't use steam workshop is running the launcher fucks up my load orders and things. NMM is garbage and I will never use it, I don't know if it has workshop-download-functionality without the launcher but it doesn't matter.

I respect that you want to keep it on here exclusively but I won't be using it as such.

Elianora brings up some good points. Shame this mod has to stay here only. Thanks for the response to our query Blakeyrat. :Antipho::Bucco::Dossenus:

I've always used this mod since it was out. It's not about NMM. Nexus site can be used fine without it. It's about Steam's bullshit "forced updates for mods, that can break people's save games", the lack of version control, and the freely running ripped and stolen content that Valve doesn't give a shit about.

I removed my mods from the Workshop and got raged at by dozens of people for "destroying their save games", because when I hid my mod, Steam disabled the mods from people's games and they didn't even notice, thanks to Steam's automation. And they had no clue how to backup and restore mods. Needless to say, anything they had stored inside my house mods, were gone.

So while I love and respect this mod, I have no love for the the platform it's offered on.

I'm quite happy using Nexus with filters on so I don't have to see the pervert content.
