While scouring the world for schematics to rebuild the Gyrocopter, Aurel discovered something amazing. The eastern lands had began to build the same in secret, by commission of the Royal Emperor himself. Unable to resist his thirst for flying machines, he snuck into the palace but was caught. Seeing use for his mechanical knowledge, the Emperor spared Aurel the dungeon and put him to work in the palace workshop. The days turned into months, months to years and Aurel continued to toil over his war machine. He was as much a captive of the Emperor as he was to his obsession. One night, the palace came under attack by a neighboring country that had always coveted its resources and trade routes. As if planned all along, Aurel seized the opportunity to escape his cage atop a geared beast. Flying the eastern skies back home, a large grin stretched across his face. While it wasn't the Gyrocopter he once built and sought, the Orient had given him one hell of a souvenir.
