He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well. He's finally back to kick some tail!

Donkey Kong joins the fight in Rivals of Aether, using most of his moves from his Smash Incarnation, however this monkey as a few new tricks up his, tie?

DK's new gimmick here is his Up Special - Launch Barrel:
When using Up Special, DK will set up a Launch Barrel, you can change it's direction with the analog stick at the start of the move. And if you hold down the Special Buttom, DK will them hop into the barrel and get launched at the desired angle.
The Launch Barrels stick around after DK uses them, being able to lauch at the arrow's direction anyone who comes into contact with it, use it for combos, cover options, and much more.

The rest of DK's kit also works around the Barrels, using his signature Down Special, the Hand Slap, on the ground, the barrel will then rotate at the direction DK's facing.

DK's Neutral Special is his Iconic Giant Punch, which can be charged for a much stronger hit (keep an eye on DK's face on his HUD to know when the move is charged). However if you hit someone with the Giant Punch, and they fly into a barrel, the barrel will turn into an explosive variety, causing a lot more damage and knockback, great for taking stocks.

The Forward Special Headbutt has been replaced with DK's infamous Cargo Throw, walk around with your opponent and throw them in different directions, perfect into getting your enemies inside the barrels.
