Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth (ALL CURRENT EXPANSIONS)

Opis
"Embark on your own adventures in J.R.R. Tolkien's iconic world with The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth, a fully co-operative, app-supported board game for one to five players! You'll battle villainous foes, make courageous choices, and strike a blow against the evil that threatens the land — all as part of a thrilling campaign that leads you across the storied hills and dales of Middle-earth."

This workshop mod features the Journeys in Middle Earth board game by Fantasy Flight, and contains all current expansions, with the most recent being Spreading War:

"War has come to the realm of Men. Shadows spread throughout Rohan and Gondor, from the tangled depths of Fangorn Forest to the haunted ruins of Osgiliath. You have encountered ruthless mercenaries that have invaded the kingdoms of Men under orders from a mysterious figure, and now you must strike out to hopefully quell the tide of violence before it becomes too great."

NOTE: To play, you need the companion app installed, which can be downloaded here for free in the Steam store! The rulebooks are also included in bags at the bottom of the board!

BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH JiME! New expansion has been included. Hopefully miniatures soon!

I built this mod starting with FondueTime's mod, The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth. I ported in all of the assets for the expansion myself, except for the map tiles, which are from jsmcgo's mod, Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth - Basic. Big credit to both of these users, as without the framework from FondueTime's mod and without the map tiles from jsmcgo's mod, this would have been much harder for me to create. All other expansion assets were scanned in myself, so I hope the quality is sufficient!

A BIG THANKS TO Ziggy Stardust for scanning in the 3D models of the miniatures and allowing me to use them. Go check his stuff out! His mod can be found down below if you wish to have a mod with just the miniatures.

As said in FondueTime's post, the board is set up so that on setup, players navigate from the top of the side boards to the bottom by:

1) Selecting a character
2) Picking an item
3) Picking a role, and
4) Grabbing a weakness and putting into your deck

I have left the expansion materials on a new board on the right, so that they can be shuffled into the rest of the materials or left out if you choose to play without the Shadowed Paths expansion.

Explore Map: Options/Grid: Hex Horizontal, Grid Size: 2.6, 2.6, Rotate Degrees 60
Battle Map: Options/Grid: Box, Grid Size: 1.85, 1.85, Rotate Degrees 90

I hope you enjoy! :)

If anyone would like to use these assets or improve on this mod, do so as you please! No credit needed but always appreciated. This was just a little passion project to get the expansion out to the masses!

DM me if your problem continues, and we could try to troubleshoot more.

@Winters, the asset in your screenshot can be found here at this steam cloud link . It appears to load fine for me when I load it independently form my browser. If your internet is slower and you want to ensure previously downloaded assets load, I would do the following (if you have not already):

-Navigate to Menu -> Configuration
-Go to the "Game" tab and turn Mod Caching on

This way, your computer will locally store any downloaded asset from the mod, and you will not have to wait for already downloaded assets to load. After turning this on, you may want to reload the mod a few times so that all assets get downloaded, and any undownloaded asset will be prioritized when you reload. However, if you are subscribed to a lot of TTS mods, then mod caching may take up a lot of storage depending on what you play, so fair warning there.

I don't have particularly good internet connection, but It's keep failing to load same cards again and again. I tried to access to the original source, but it loads like quarter of it and it just stops. Not sure what to do :/

@Darth Neon, I just pushed a change to the workshop, as in my last update I must have mistakenly turned grid snapping off. Hopefully that fixes it. If you still have issues, double check to see if your settings are as follows:

Options > Grid:
-Type: Hex Horizontal
-Line Thickness: Thin
-Snapping: Center
-Grid Size: x,y = 2.6

@Winters, I removed the mod from my computer and did a fresh reinstall, and all of my images loaded fine with no errors. If you could direct me to what things are not loading I may be able to troubleshoot more.

My map tiles are no longer snapping to grid, but they still have grid snapping turned on? Any help?

I am having problems with loading some of the images. Tried to get to the source URL, but it loads very slowly and doesn't loaded fully at all. I wonder I am the only one going through this.

I used RemotePlay for the other player and Alt-Tab to switch from App to Tabletop. This is ok!!
But I also tested with VR and it is so great with VR and you can open a Window with App over SteamVR. And I found a way to live with the Quest Controller.

>is it possible to open a window where all can see the App?

not via tabletop simulator, you'd have to stream the app window. you can use steam for that or another screenshare program.

Thank´s, is it possible to open a window where all can see the App?
Can I get a Tablet with the open App? I do not want a tablet with browser!

In the "Components Menu" you can get a tablet with a browser! But I only need a tablet with only an open task (the App) not the Browser!
