Description
Toon Link from The Legend of Zelda series comes to Rivals of Aether! Included with him is a big moveset referencing multiple games such as Wind Waker, Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks, and Phantom Hourglass. With his swappable specials (press shield while charging neutral, side, or down specials), he can adapt to a lot of situations and use many different strategies.

If you want a smaller, resprited version of Toon Link, you can also try Smash Toon Link!

If you like this, consider leaving a thumbs up for support!

Check out the rest of the roster!

Moveset

Neutral Special
With neutral special you can aim with the Hero's Bow. Can be aimed in any direction, and can swap between basic arrows, fire arrows, and ice arrows. At full charge, basic arrows become light arrows. You can also shoot a bomb with a basic arrow to create a bomb arrow!

Side Special
Side special is Boomerang, Hookshot, and the Whirlwind. The boomerang functions like it does in Smash, although it can be charged which makes it go through enemies and other projectiles. It can also be angled.
Hookshot functions like a command grab, and if charged it will have much more range. Can be aimed either forward or upward, and if it connects with another player it will bring them to you.
Whirlwind shoots a tornado forwards. It's speed, distance, and lifetime depends on if it's been charged or not. When it hits a player it will carry them forward before launching them. It can also carry other projectiles such as your bombs.

Up Special
Up special is the Deku Leaf. On the ground you'll swing the leaf and shoot a wind projectile, while in the air you can use it to float with.

Down Special
With down special you can use Bombs, Bombchus, and Remote Bombs. Bombs can be charged for bigger bombs and angled, while Bombchus will move along the ground. Remote Bombs are like normal bombs except you can only have one at a time, and it will only explode when you detonate it. While it's out it can be knocked around, and you can retrive it with the Hookshot or carry it with the Whirlwind.

Pictograph

Toon Link's down taunt is the Pictograph from Wind Waker. When fighting the base cast (DLC, Sandbert, and Guadua included) you'll get a special photo. For workshop characters, it will work if they have pictograph support.
Ganon's Tower

Toon Link also comes with the Ganon's Tower stage, which you can get here.
Extras
- At the start of a match, you can press up, down, and left/right to swap your specials to start with the moves you prefer.
- If you're playing with keyboard, you can activate keyboard mode by pressing Taunt at the beginning of the match.
- By default Toon Link's voice lines are off, but you can enable them by pressing Start at the beginning of the match.
- The BoTW alt has it's own custom Remote Bomb, just like in BoTW with it's own sprites and sfx. To activate this on any alt, press Attack+Special at the start of the match
- The Kewtian alts have extra star effects and a giant hidden taunt! To activate this on any alt, press Attack+Jump at the start of the match.
- Toon Link has a mode that makes him stronger, called Triforce mode... To use it, hold Shield and rapidly press Attack at the start of the match. Use with care.
Although note that this won't work unless the opponent is holding Jump to allow you to use this mode, or if the opponent is a CPU. This is mainly to prevent people from abusing this feature online.
- Set a Toon Link CPU to Level 1 for boss mode! This mode isn't invincible, but Toon Link will use more of his power!

Also thanks to Octopus58 for the Dragon Roost Island remix for the trailer, which you can check out here.

Best way to do that is to contact me over on Discord and such. We got our own server (linked in each character description) and stuff too, so you're welcome to stop by!
Be aware that full characters are pretty expensive though! Most people expect them to be cheaper than they are, haha.

there is a glitch that activates automatically the triforce mode against UI Goku
if you want to try it, just try it

Thank you and I'm glad you like Toon Link, haha! Give him a vote and check out the rest of the roster too, if you haven't!
We've got like 20+ characters by now that are all the same quality (including another version of Toon Link that's resprited and more streamlined). The original Toon Link definitely still holds up as a lot of fun though, haha!
