The Official HeartBeat Guide
By Samper
HeartBeat is a heavily story focused extension for Hacknet. Some part of it's gameplay are sometimes too obscure to understand.
This guide will shed light on some parts of the game, making some puzzles more or less obvious. Don't read this if you're not stuck!

Introduction
This guide is still a work in progress.

It's sometimes difficult to find the roadblocks of an extension you made, so I tried my best to figure out the complicated parts.
If you're stuck somewhere that isn't in this guide, please let me know in the help Thread, and I'll make sure to answer you and to add something to the guide.
I wish you a great experience with HeartBeat.
I just found a broken pacemaker, what now?
General hint: According to the emails, this pacemaker didn't break on it's own, you should try to find the individual who broke it.

Precise hint: Someone left logs in the pacemaker's files.
I don't know the password to get into CSEC!
General hint: I heard that the Washington Host interviewed the man in charge of this CSEC server. Digging into his life might bring you the info you need.

Precise hint: The man in charge of the server, Henri Duncan, has a dedicated HeartBeat server inside Kellis' 29th Cluster. The password is in there.

"Just give me the password" hint: The password is "kate" all lowercase.
I found an IRC but I don't have credentials...
General hint : I heard that the admin of this group is terrible with computers. He's also the one who deletes the spam on the applications dropserver...

Precise hint : The backdoor boys' admin left logs on the dropserver. You can find the IRC credentials in his phone.

"Just give me the credentials" hint : The username is "chariot12" and the password "silverboy".
I hacked into a phone at Entech and don't know what to do.
General hint: The ePhone user left some kind of note about an app for payment. You should look into that!

Precise hint: The IP adress you need to continue is inside the save file of the CoinHub app.
I know everything. What now.
First of all, do you really know everything? There is a total of three clues hidden in the extension. Make sure you went through each event before you can reach the end

General hint: Each clue was accompagnated by a single piece of PortCrusher. You can use them together to hack into a previously unbreachable node owned by the people wanting to find criminals.

Precise hint: The server you need to hack into now is the NBI Mainframe.
