[LKF] Verona Augmento

Intro

The Verona is the LKFs newest and most advanced corvette. Equipped with state of the art point defense system the Verona can handle entire squadrons of fighters by herself. New ion thrusters are featured, offering increased thrust, increasing speed. However the Verona lacks any capital ship grade weaponry, although her 4 gatling turrets are capable of causing serious damage to larger vessels, its not enough to justify any engagements with larger ships.

So far only 3 Verona class corvettes have been built, with 1 in testing, 1 in active service and 1 being destroyed in the battle of Merill's gap by a TFK Cruiser. However before being destroyed she screened multiple squadrons of TFK fighters, protecting the rest of the fleet and even significantly damaged the cruiser.

Design

The Verona is large and bulky, giving her an exceptional amount of interior space. Also a very rigid body, absorbing hits from fighters well.The shape also gives the turrets a great firing arch, essential to taking on multiple smaller enemies.

She flies on a hybrid thrust system of hydrogen and ion. A jump drive is located on the stern engine block.

She is powered by reactors and batteries, as she is a state of the art vessel. Advanced radar systems are installed as per default in the LKF.
