MS DFDS King Seaways Ferry IJmuiden/Newcastle

This is the ferry that sails between the Netherlands and Great Britain.

History:
The ship was build for TT-Line in 1987 with the name: "MS Nils Holgersson". The ship has also sailed under the name: "Val De Loire" when she had that name she was owned by Brittany Ferries. The ship was sold to DFDS SEAWAYS in 2006 it had a different name: "MS King of Scandinavia" but it already sailed between NL/GB. In 2011 she got the name: "MS King Seaways" and that is her current name now (2020).

The is ship is not a 1:1 replica. You can sail it from the bridge of course. If you walk in the boarding door on the side of the ship you will see a staircase upstairs now you can see the reception and a few model ships. There is another staircase to go upstairs it will take you to the boat deck when you are on the boat deck simply make your way to the bridge and then you can start sailing the ship.

START THE ENGINE:
Not hard set all the throttle levers for the engine to your desired throttle (I SUGGEST YOU ALSO START THE GENERATOR FOR EXTRA SPEED) When you have done all this just turn the key and the engine will start. On the right of the steering wheel there is a main clutch for the propellers put this up to 100 and you should be going forward.
Want to use the bowthrusters? There are controls at the bridge wing these are for the bowthrusters.
