NOTE: Spend 24 hours on this guide. I used photoshop and also the element modifier, screenshots in lightshot. Various profiles were used and several people were interviewed. This guide is intended to be as dynamic as possible.

Every 10 levels you have on Steam you will earn 1 Profile Showcase. In addition, you can choose from your articles what you want to show. That allows you a lot of flexibility when it comes to editing your profile and improving your style!

There are several ways to obtain levels on steam: years of service, number of games acquired, contributions to the community, being a candidate for certain betas, etc.

The fastest way to level up is with Trading Card Sets. You earn 100 XP per set you Craft into a Badge

The cheapest and best way to level up, is to see the list of the cheapest cards, and then buy them. What many level collectors hide from you is there are pages to see the cheapest cards on the steam market

www.steamcardexchange.net is a page which contains in real time the list of the cheapest trading cards on steam, you should go check it



As you realized, you can buy stickers for absurdly cheap prices.

You can always do this, but having a higher level on Steam means you have spend more money and time into your profile. Which will make this task more and more tedious.


Steamrep[steamrep.com] is a page where you can report and find out the reputation of a user or bot it also contains quite good tips to avoid being scammed.

2. Search an image according to your color palette

For this idea look for your color palette, in this case I choose one with violet and blue backgrounds. In the internet search engine I will search for "vaporwave anime" and you will get a photo according to the color

The artwork is the main attraction of your profile, creating one can be easy or difficult depending on the effort or how perfectionist you are with it. So maybe the "Artwork" should actually enter in the advanced level.

Due to the complexity of creating artworks. In this guide I am going to give you links to videos so that the explanation is easier. Currently creating an artwork is complex enough to write with words. In the next section we will show you how to upload an artwork

6. Hiring an artist

The artists will be able to make you incredible artworks. At a considerable price. Please respect the work of the artists and DO NOT ask for free artwork

Now you finally have to upload your artwork. But suddenly you realize you have trouble uploading it.

Download and install the steam.design extension


Then go to screenshots, and from there select the "Artworks" tab





Now upload your artwork. an extra button will appear on steam that says "upload as long image" and now you could upload your artwork!




When uploading an artwork. use control + c and go to the command prompt. Then type this command and upload the artwork!

Is your artwork too heavy? you can optimize it!

Important: if your artwork weighs more than 35 mb you will not be able to optimize it. In that case you can try to download the frames in After Effects or remove colors.

Enter the page "ezGIF[ezgif.com]"



Upload your gif in the "optimize gif" section.



Now select the compression level until the file reaches 8 mb, if it reaches a size smaller than 8 mb it will load faster on your profile page but it will look worse

Visual trick that I currently use: Instead of using a 60 fps Artwork you can make a 30 fps artwork and then increase the speed in "EzGIF" it will look like a fluid Artwork despite being a visual trick

The latest 4 badges that an user acquires will be shown on the right side of the first showcase and this cannot be changed. Your game collector badge will update itself and ruin your badge set. One way to prevent this is to get the badge set last, when everything else on your profile is finished or to acquire enough games so that the game collector badge is in the same color as your profile´s primary color.

Steam Tools[steam.tools] contains a specific tool to create your own mosaic. You will need to enter with your steam account to verify what emoticons you have in your account and later you can go on to draw your mosaic
