Getting started is considered to be the hardest step, despite it pretty much beeing the only step.

BEFORE FOLLOWING ANY STEPS, MAKE SURE THAT:

You aren't naturally talented at the game
You don't have high elo friends, because they could boost you to a rank that isn't mediocre
You have atleast 500 hours playtime.
You aren't compettetive.
You always have fun while playing cs

You might be asking yourself, what your steam profile has to do with beeing an mediocre player, but it's one of the most efficient steps to be perceived as mediocre. take my Profile for example:

it's the perfect example of an mediocre player. Most weebs aren't actually talented in gaming, we just put way too much time into it. my profile also covers the fact that I play League of Legends, so people might be able to tell that csgo isn't my main game. the most important thing on my profile is the 11 year badge. It shows that I have had way more than engouth time to become good at csgo, but I am still mediocre.

BUT

your profile could also look something like this, if you are not a weeb:

Once you have your profile setup, and ready to go you are free to go and play matchmaking.

As a mediocre player you DO NOT play deathmatch before any MM game and play a max of 2 MM games a day, or 10 MM games a week.

Once you reach your peak rank (which should not be higher than MG2/MGE) it's important that you take a 3 MONTHS brake, so your rank and your skill decays. if you do not you are risking becomming actually good at the game.

if you do it right you should be able to stay in MG2 for ages. I have been there since my win number 300 :)








A rule of thumb here: The more wins you have in MG2 the more mediocre you are.

this is pretty simple and should explain itself, so I wont go in depth about it.

You do some callouts, be an inconsistent player thru out any game, beeing able to clutch a 1v5 but then throwing a 3v3 on mirage with bomb planted A for ramp, which you were supposed to hold.

if you behave exactly like this you will most likely become a fill player for many 4 stack lobbys, which try their hardest to make you feel like you are fitting in, but you know for sure you will always be the outsider and never get that AWP drop. but I like it, I have always been an observer, and not an active team mate. if you can relate you might also be a born mediocre <3

you should only own Weapon skins up to 2€, anything above that could make you look too invested in the game.
