A Place, Forbidden is a free and short horror puzzle adventure featuring ten Steam achievements. Press 'F' key to activate the flashlight and 'N' key to access the notepad.

Note: The game doesn't save information about already found tiny books and excerpts. Make sure to find all of them in one playthrough without restarting the game / loading a previous save.

• Explore the library until you find a ringing mobile phone. Answer the call.
• Pick up the brass key.
• Find four pieces of crumpled paper and throw them in the garbage can:




• Answer the mysterious phone call.
• Quickly go back to the starting area and pick up the first piece of forbidden knowledge (1/5):




• Also, examine the tiny book in the bottom right corner (1/6).
• Interact with the printer at the reception several times.


• Leave the first room through the door next to the printer.

• Find the screwdriver:



• Use the screwdriver to open the vent:



• Take the second piece of forbidden knowledge (2/5).
• Read the first excerpt (1/2) - click through all pages:



• Open the box on the counter: 4102.
• Find another tiny book (2/6) in front of the windows:



• Leave the room through the window in the middle.

• Read the second excerpt (2/2) - click through all pages:




• Find another tiny book (3/6) behind the desk with the second excerpt:



• Enter a secret passage through this collision-free wall:



• At the end of the secret passage, pick up the third piece of forbidden knowledge (3/5).
• Leave the room through a trap door at the end of the linear path.

• Before interacting with the safe, find a secret passage to a trap door:



• Follow the linear passage to a room with windows. Find another tiny book (4/6):



• Approach the armchair and obtain another piece of forbidden knowledge (4/5).
• Return to the previous area through the trap door next to the armchair.
• Interact with the safe and click on "Close". Pick up all five tapes.
• Now, interact with the safe again. Solution: snake, car, bear, fire, clock.

• Find a tiny book behind the counter (5/6):



• Now, walk straight ahead and find the last piece of knowledge (5/5) on the left:




• Continue walking straight ahead until you collide with an invisible wall. Don't stop walking!
• After a while, the wall will disappear and you can reach the door:

• The last tiny book is behind the file cabinet on the left:




• After the tunnel scene, find a key on one of the tables next to the printer and the reception.
• Try to leave the library through the door next to the printer.

• Fall off the map through this hole:



• Find the brass key stuck in one of the columns:



• Open the door and interact with the checkerboard. Open another door.
• Pick up the card holder:



• Examine the padlock and enter: 8431.
• Leave through the door.



• Fall off the map through this hole:



• Take the small cabinet (between tapes #3 and #4).
• Pick up all five tapes and interact with the safe.
• Solution: 1, 2, 5.
• Leave through the door.



• Fall off the map through this hole:



• Take the rolodex - next to telephone #3.
• Interact with the telephones in this order: 32415.
• Leave through the door.



• Fall off the map through this hole:



• Place all three items on the table.
• Leave through the door.
