"Iris"Accomplishing Everything"

This small grid extra small Interplanetary Mining Ship is built for reliability and safety. Charging its 2 Large Batteries it is perfectly suited for the first mining operations on Planets and in space. It does not need Uranium for building or Operation. The Design principle of form following function is fully realised but styled to be aestheticly pleasing . Built so small it only needs 4X2 Blocks of space in a Large grid. designed to take any operation it is more than a simple miner; it is the tool to start your Empire.

Design Feature
- 16 Blocks Large Grid Space: The Craft is Designed to be as Space efficient as Possible only taking 4x2 Blocks of space to store in an Large Grid
- Drill cross-section: The ship is very narrow to have the exact dimensions to fit through its drill holes.
- Roll bar: The craft is fitted with roll bar armor to protect it from collisions
- 3 degrees of Freedom: The thrusters are designed to keep the Elevation in Atmosphere when fully loaded. No matter if its rotating facing down or up.
- Mining: early mining operations on Planets and in space will be greatly improved by its ore detection, drills and cargo Size.
- Cargo: 22200 Liter of cargo space enabling the Cuba for light cargo hauling.
- Scouting: Equipped with ore sensors multiple cameras it is able to discover ore deposits and enemies alike.
- Path Auto Miner [PAM]: the Path out miner script is fully integrated.
- Ship layout: The Ship layout script shows you the Status and damaged area of the Iris
- Defense/Offense: 2 Gatling Guns give you the ability to defend or Help in offense. Against small crafts.
- Advance Status LCDs: 2 Transparent Heads-up LCDs display information on hull Integrity, cargo Load and capacity. The Cockpit Screens show Information for hotkey setup, power time and safe grid mass.
- Repair Projector: The Built in Projector can be turned on for Easy Repair.

Hello Penguin, thank you for your question. the only DLC block on this are 2 Transparent LCDs Right and left of the cocpit. you could use a Vanilla Text Panel instaad. The craft is Survival ready. you will need to connect it to a h2 generator to fill up its tank and its recommanded to charge the batteries first.

I thought that might be the case. Meaning I have to convert my ship to a station so it stops moving(Which worked btw). Shame, I was kind of hoping the script is gonna figure out the path finding better so I can last second escape and not worry bout the miner.
Either way with the new update around the corner, hopefully it will fix it.

Hello MIQL, thanks for your comment. about the issue with the docking. the pam sricpt is flying a per recorded path to a point. it could be that the connector and the battleship moved a bit. after taht the ship wont get the connection. it could also be taht the connector is facing up or down if you try to connect facing up or down the ship could not have enought thrust to manuver to the position. try recompiling the programmable block and record the path again maybe. Let me know if that helps or i can do anything else.

Hey man, that's a great design... compact, stylish, self sustaining and PAM. Everything an engineer needs. In fact I was looking for something like that for my battleship, she fits in very well.
I do have a question though. As Im not too familiar with PAM, all the automations and scripts that well. Iris wont dock properly on an outside port of my ship. It would go back and forth trying to dock but not aligning properly. Is this due to PAM being PAM or is this something in the design of the ship? In short not sure why Iris wont finish the mining job and dock properly.

@Dermakrat Im looking for a large grid miner with all the feature you have here needs to be Moon comparable do you have any you recommend or can you build one ?

I paticular like point 3 :)
the side descent is a bit of a problem. I could not find a solution for while still fiting the size requirement.
about the flight time. yes when its full and movering the flight time can be only 10 minutes in atmopshere but its still cabable of breking out of gravity and returning with ore. still your criticism is right. i tested it with a hover time of 15 min check the quide for more infos.
