Beskrivning

The most well known niche streamlined steam locomotive in the world.

This is the 4-6-2 Dreyfuss Mercury. a 4-6-2 Pacific with a streamlined shroud cover designed by Henry Dreyfuss. These trainsets were used to operate during daytime between midwest US cities. this particular consist has been modeled after the Chicago and Detroit mercury, nicknamed the ''Chicago Mercury''

On its own this train is not that special, but thanks to the unique aesthetics of this locomotive and its tender it would become one of the most well known american streamlined locomotives, mainly thanking to it being associated heavily with Decopunk.

Reaallly depends on who you ask, the Mercury is basically synonymous for art deco/streamline moderne, but the Mallard is by far more famous for the record it broke, but not its design.
