PARASITES

Parasites are organism that obtain nourishment from living inside a live host for survival. They can be ingested by the player and will cause increased consumption of nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats and protein.

CAUSES

Parasites can be contracted by drinking or consuming unsterile food.
-Any uncooked meats.
-Drinking dirty or unsafe water.
-Eating with dirty hands.

TREATMENT

Parasites can be treated by eating the following foods;
-Orange cup mushrooms (raw or stewed)

-Soursop fruit (raw or stewed).

-Blue mushroom (raw or stewed)

VENOM WOUND

Venom wound is a injury caused by a bite or sting from a venomous animal. The wound will have one or two puncture marks and the skin around the wound will be red and swollen.

CAUSES

Various animal stings or bites can cause a venom wound.

-Brazilian Wandering Spider
-Goliath Birdeater Spider
-Poison Dart Frog
-River Stingray
-Scorpion
-South American Rattlesnake

TREATMENT
For small amounts of venom the players body will naturally fight off the venom slowly over time. However larger doses of venom will rapidly affect the players health and will result in death if left untreated.
Venom wounds can be treated in several ways including:

-Painkillers
-Lily Dressing

-Tobacco Dressing

-Tobacco Brew

FEVER

Fever reduces the players sanity levels and will increase the rate of macro elements the player uses. It also causes reduced energy levels. Very low energy levels will cause the player to pass out for a short time.

CAUSES

Fever is usually a secondary issue caused when the player contracts another ailment such as a venom wound, infection or food poisoning.

TREATMENT
Fever is naturally fought off by the body over time, however the recovery time can be shortened by consuming a stew made from the Quassia Amara plant.

RASH

A rash is a area of skin that has become irritated, causing small red bumps on the player skin. Having a rash is usually not fatal, however it will temporarily reduces the players sanity as long as the rash persists.

CAUSES

You can get a rash when coming into contact with aggressive insects such as ants and wasps
To prevent this from happening it is best to avoid going too close to anthills or wasp nests.
Using a torch will help prevent ants and wasps from attacking the player, whilst collecting items from the anthills or wasp nests

TREATMENT
The Rash will naturally heal over time.
To speed up the healing process it's recommended to place a bandage with antihistaminic properties such as an Lily Dressing or Honey Dressing to the affected area.

WORMS

Worms burrow under the players skin, causing a large red bump. If they are not removed they will quickly drain the players sanity and cause them to go insane.

CAUSES

The player can get Worms from sleeping on the ground, or sleeping in beds which are low to the ground.
To prevent this from happening use an elevated sleeping position like a hammock or log bed. Placing a fire near a bed will also help to reduce the risk of worms

TREATMENT

Worms can be removed by using a Bone Needle or Fish Bone.
It is recommended to place an Ash Dressing or Leaf Bandage on to the wound once the Worm has been removed to prevent Infection.

INFECTION

A Wound infection is the result of harmful germs and bacteria entering a wound. The infected wound will be filled with yellow-green pus and the skin around the wound will become red and swollen.

CAUSES

Wound infection occurs when open wounds such as lacerations, scratches, worms and abrasions have been left untreated. Treating wounds while dirty will also cause infection.
There is a small chance for a wound that has been treated with a normal leaf bandage to turn into an infection.

TREATMENT

The player will need to inspect their body to find the location of the wound infection. When the infected wound has been located, maggots will need to placed on to the infected wound.
The maggots will then eat any infected and dead flesh from the wound. This will cause a small amount of sanity loss while the dead tissue is being removed.

The are lots of "Spoilers", I went on a hell of a rant. So, IF you wanna explore the game alone, DO NOT READ THIS COMMENTS.

There is quite a lot missing from the treatments list.
The most efficient way to treat fewers is the bone brew, since those are more plentiful than the Quassia plant. Painkillers also help, they are limited, but they are often lifesavers.
The Unknown herb does CAUSE food poisoning, but the smaller herb it drops that look like leaves CLEAR food poisoning. Also there are Mushrooms that clear fewers, though only in the SoA gamemode.
The wound infection can be treated with either an Ash dressing, or a Honey dressing. Once that comes off, you'll need to bandage the wound again to let it heal.
And there should be a little more info on how to get bone needles/fishbones. Bone needles, you'll need to harvest a bone. As for fishbones, you need to harvest either a Piranha, Peacock Bass or an Arowa to get 3 fishbones.

Also make sure to clean yourself before bandaging a wound. Unless you already have an anti infection bandage covering your wounds, your wound will get infected if you get dirty when the wound is done healing. Make sure to let your wound heal in a clean environement.
A few more tips before I go:
Game sense:
Unless you know an area is safe, don't run. Big cats instantly attack you and you can run straight into other dangers without being able to ambush them.
Always wear armor,
Don't listen to any music while playing since almost every danger source emits sound,
Don't walk in rivers, Stingrays are silent,
Jaguars and Pumas need a few days to respawn,
Always watch the floor in caves. Scorpions and spiders are a pain and Obsidian stones are a treat,
Don't cut Palm trees, they don't regrow and you won't have a source of Cocounuts left if you do,
Scraches from falls always happen on the left leg first,
Bamboo bows and Spears are the lightest.
Inventory management:

Take at least 20 arrows (large groups of natives can take a lot to take down sometimes),
4 fishbones and bandages (if you need to sleep rough, you might need to bandage a lot of wounds from worms),
1 coconut bowl (sometimes you need to collect water for emergency brews)
3 stones (bees, scorpions, snakes, spiders, and since Throwing and Archery skills are connected, it's good to level up it up as well (you can farm this by throwing stones at a rolled up Three-banded Armadillo until it dies)),
3 Brazil nuts (sometimes you can't find nuts, so just take them out of precaution, and since I needed a filler lol)
Take 2 Birdnests and a Handdrill
Nutrients:
Monstera Deliciosa Fruits, Raffia nuts, Brazil Nuts, Soursop fruits, Eggs, Coconuts, Snails and Indigo Blue Leptonias are always great foodsources, as well as all mushrooms that grow on fallen tree trunks.
Unsafe water is safe enough to drink without worry, dirty however gives you parasites more often than not.
