Allied Mission 1 In The Thick Of It
To be honest, the introduction to the mission itself is way longer than actual playthrough, your only chances in failing are in two occasions First, you send your Tanya close to the Tesla Coil without destroying Power Plants with explosive barrels, it is pretty brain deadSecond, but it occurs for most of the times for me, it's when Cruisers shell Tanya by accident while I'm still in the base wrecking havoc to anything. Once the mission is started, you can send all of your Rangers to destroy the barrels near Power Plants, there is no need to even wait for Tanya. Someone make a video of 100 ways to fail this mission, please...
Allied Mission 2 Five to One
A very easy mission to complete, but be sure that you have be ready for a fourth mission, where Soviets will have even bigger superiority. You will begin that mission with all forces and buildings remaining from this mission, so you might prepare some Rocket Soldiers against aircrafts. You will receive multiple reinforcements with basic Riflemen and Ranger Scouts, that will be enough to damage and finally destroy the Soviet base. Approach the Soviet base from the north, there are multiple barrels near Construction Yard to destroy, do not waste time and damage it. Then head southwest and enter the base, focus on the destruction of Barracks and any infantry inside the base, then focus on buildings. Once whole base is destroyed, all remaining Soviet forces will come to attack you, fend of their attacks and Convoy will arrive.
Allied Mission 3 Dead End
The first Commando strike mission in the Allied campaign, it also does not have any cinematic before the mission, only a briefing. There are two areas to strike, they have different map layouts but in overall these missions are short and would not make you big problems. Your only issues might be the Soviet Attack Dogs, remember that these can kill Tanya with one simple jump and it fails the mission. And like in the vanilla Red Alert 1, Tanya does not shoot on her own (except retaliation), so dogs are your primary target. There are four bridges to destroy at the end of the mission, one of them has a small surprise of incoming Heavy Tank, pathfinding might screw you. Also keep an eye on the V2 Launcher nearby the bridges, Tanya must be always on the move, otherwise she will be dead with 1 rocket.
Allied Mission 4 TEN to One
Soviets got angry and brought the armor. The reds are back to the area from Mission 2 where you had to clear the area for approaching Convoy, and they are way tougher than before. While their base previously had been a joke, full of barrels without even Flame Turrets for defense, they deployed also the Heavy Tanks. Heavy Tanks are double barreled monsters, way slower than Allied tanks, but hey, two barrels are two barrels, double the firepower. You will have to deploy Light Tanks in this mission for a first time from your War Factories, two Factories will be enough to not waste the precious ore. A good number of Harvesters and Ore Refineries to gather resources, would be 2-3 miners per Refinery, remember that in RA1 Harversters are dumb. Oh, and some Rocket guys will be a good choice to train because Soviets will make paradrops, send Yaks against you too. Soviets will sellout all the buildings once their production facilities (Conyard, War Factory, Barracks) are destroyed for good.
Allied Mission 5 Tanya's Tale
Beginning of the mission - send your Spy to the War Factory, avoid dog patrols, you have plenty of time and error margin is really wide here. When you reach the Soviet Prison on the island, send the Spy inside - he will die as hero, releasing Tanya from NKVDs captivity there. Destroy the remaining SAM Sites in area (4) and incoming soldiers, Chinook will arrive to take Tanya on board, now the second part begins. Reinforcements with Allied tanks and infantry will come to assault small Soviet base (surely quite empty), use Engineers to capture the buildings. Remember that Flame Tower's range is quite short and your tanks (even Rocket Soldiers) can outrange it without casualties. Once you gather enough Heavy Tanks, you can attack the Soviet base to the south, destroy their vital production buildings to force a sellout event.
Allied Mission 6 Iron Curtain Infiltration
Missions begins with having a quite low cash and several Soviet infantry units harassing you, first focus on stable economy flow. Few Pillboxes are also a good choice to build, these nasty Flame Troopers are quickly decimated by their superior range, and your infantry is vulnerable. Do not forget also about proper anti-aircraft defence, your Rocket Troopers + Riflemen to catch their paratroopers, Soviets use Yaks and MiGs a lot here. Before you even think of sending a Spy to the Tech Center, clear the waters from Soviet Submarines, unfortunately all you have are paper Gunboats. Make also a correct invasion force of 20-25 Medium Tanks + Spy in proximity, just ram inside a base and destroy their most critical buildings to make things faster. Infiltrate Tech Center with Spy and proceed to clear a map from Soviet presence, unfortunately it also means a Submarine hunting in open sea, too. Oh, and if you want to block the Soviet Transports, just place a unit on the cell, it disables a possibility to unload the units, kek.
Allied Mission 7 Sunken Treasure
This is a mission where a lot of the people will struggle on hard, mostly because of limited resources in this mission and one annoying trigger. First, all you need to do is to destroy the Submarine Pens and nothing else, this is the only victory trigger in this mission that you must focus at. After CAPTURING the Radar Dome near your main base, concentrate on capturing the center of the map for Ore and Gems, this is crucial here, believe me. Taking a Naval path in this mission on Hard is mostly a failure because Submarines + Tesla Coils will destroy your Destroyers (ugh) very fast. Make a proper ground force, basecrawl to the center of the map and destroy the incoming Soviet Harvester, otherwise they will collect YOUR ORE. It also triggers the Soviet All To Hunt behavior, this is why you need a big ground force to defend, once it's done attack their base to the east. Head south and destroy everything on your path, capture the Sub Pen with an Engineer and produce Submarines to destroy remaining Sub Pens, mission completed.
Allied Mission 8 Protect The Chronosphere
This mission seems to be more difficult than in the vanilla on Hard, afaik the Soviet forces blocking you at the beginning, were way smaller for task force. There is no time on the Hard difficulty, you better be quick to reach the base with taskforce and MCV, utilize these 2 Destroyers as much as you can do. Once you reach the Soviet blockade, bring the Destroyers closer to help your ground units, Destroyers range is a valuable asset, handy to destroy the blockade. First Soviet attacks will come in a matter of few minutes, and they are really painful if not prepared - Heavy Tanks, V2 Launchers, infantry and even Mammoth Tanks. South to the Advanced Power Plants there is a beachhead where Soviets will unload their units, very annoying pests, but you can block them with Destroyers. In this mission you do not have of course to destroy the Soviet base and all units, you just have to defend the power, Chronosphere and Tech Center for 45 minutes. Produce a mobile task force with Medium Tanks, move once your Harvesters are threatened by the Soviets, you can always make one or two turrets per entry to help.
Allied Mission 9 Extract Kosygin
A very easy mission, the AI does not even bother you with sending transports filled with Soviet units, you can easily prepare for the assault. You start on the mediocre sized island, there is plenty of ore to harvest, 4 miners and 2 Ore Refineries will be enough for a whole mission. Have a strong Navy, Destroyers will help you a lot, they can outrange the Tesla Coils with some positioning and they can bombard from a nice distance. A ground assault wave with 20 Medium Tanks will be enough to break through to the base, cause havoc and eliminate the Attack Dogs that can kill Spies. Once Kosygin is freed from the Soviet Headquarters, better send him to the APC where no random Attack Dog can find him, it will be handy. Oh, and once Soviet HQ is infiltrated, you will get the reinforcements with two Cruisers, but they are merely just for a show, they are not so needed at all. Pack Kosygin to the transport and unload him at your base, once Helicopter lands, the mission is accomplished.
Allied Mission 10 Suspicion
Not a really difficult mission, just at start of it, avoid touching any enemy Harvesters, remember that Soviets will go on a rampage then. This map has also an incredible amount of ore, it's hard to harvest all ore and gems on the map, you will have no problems with money here. The only problem might be of course with Harvesters and their pathfinding, try to have one Refinery per 2 or 3 harvs, otherwise they will block each other. Try to lure Soviets units and trap them, your Medium Tanks are ok for shoot, move and shoot again, it helps a lot during this mission. In the northeaster corner of the map, there is a small Soviet outpost with Helipads and Airfields and multiple Power Plants, destroy it. When you assault the main base, Soviets will launch their nuclear warheads, from that moment you have one hour to finish two missions. Damage the Soviet HQ and capture it with an engineer, from that moment Mission 10B Evidence starts inside a Black Horseman complex.
Allied Mission 10B Evidence
The first from two Allied missions taking place in the interior, thankfully we have Tanya here to make a mission easier. Remaining time to finish this level depends on your progress in previous mission, if you were extremely slow then, it's better to start from scratch. Your the worst problems for sure will be the Attack Dogs, these nasty fellas can kill Tanya with one simple jump, and they detect Spies too. Oh and because this is a Hard difficulty level, you will notice that enemy Riflemen deal way more damage than your troops, that's because of it. On Hard, all of the enemy units are 20% tougher and resilient, while your troops at the same time have a 20% debuff, quite fair mate. Once the mission starts, head to the south and meet with Tanya, try to not engage against big groups of troops, it's a very bad idea. Find all 4 Control Center, in case you see a Flame Turret, just send an Engineer with full health to disable it and clear the area.
Allied Mission 11 Naval Supremacy
C&C Red Alert Remastered Allied Campaign On Hard difficulty, Mission 11 - Clear the river and and whole map from the Soviet threat. You get the two MCVs at start of this engagement, you get twice the speed but remember that you can't unpack the MCV once deployed. This map has got a plenty of ore & gems laying on the ground, but the second half lies beyond the river, so keep it in mind. There are two Soviet bases that have to be destroyed, unfortunately clearing the river does not make the convoy approach earlier. First base can be destroyed with a simple Medium Tank assault, move shoot and move again for maximum efficiency of these Medium Tanks. Focus your fire on the most tanky Tesla Coils, Mammoths and Heavy Tanks, then focus on V2 and simply drive through the infantry. Capture the Sub Pen and eliminate everything on your side to reveal Submarines, also Subs are way better than Destroyers against Submarines. Transport the tanks to the other side of river and destroy the Power Plants to the north with Construction Yard, then clear the rest of map.
Allied Mission 12 Takedown
Quite an annoying mission so far, there are two Soviet bases to leave destroyed and lots of Ore on the map to gather. As usual, focus on the defending your base during first minutes, this is also a first mission where Soviets use Iron Curtain. Once per few minutes, Mammoth Tank will come from the western base, you can catch it earlier to prevent from ICing it. Oh, and just at the beginning of the mission, head to the west and destroy the church, you will get an extra money for it (yeah, for real). There is also triggered a one angry civilian that will come to your base early, eliminate him as soon as possible because this is a trap. He will deploy a beacon... and once the beacon is deployed you will enter a world of hurt, Soviet paratroopers will come in a formidable quantity. Focus on the base to your right first, also destroying an HQ there results in a massive explosion of all Power Plants in proximity.
Allied Mission 13 Focused Blast
Hands down, this is actually the hardest mission in entire C&C Red Alert, no other mission is even close to this one. You have to disable the nerve gas in just captured facility, there are 45 minutes to do it and you must be really quick. You start with dispersed units around the underground facility, group them in 4 groups - 2 x riflemen and 2x medics for better control. To make things more difficult here, there is no Tanya coming to help you, you must be extra careful during the engagements, do not lose medics. Every Riflemen is worth a lot of gold here, remember that on hard difficulty your units are debuffed, while enemies are even stronger than on Normal. Move carefully to the center of the map, you can discharge the Flame Towers using the Engineers in some control panels, utilize your Spy. But be aware of the Attack Dogs, if you do not remember about such threat, they will simply eat all of your units when your are not careful.
Allied Mission 14 No Remorse
Finally an assault on Moscow, the objective here is really simple - destroy everything on your path, nothing can be left of Soviets. It simply means that even no Harvester or unlucky Technician can be spared, fortunately the mission is not so long and you have full tech. But honestly would you need the Chronosphere or Cruisers to finish this mission in a fast manner, while Medium Tanks do the job better?. Once you begin the mission, quickly move Tanya and Thievs (quite useless unit tho) from the barrels, one Rifleman will quickly destroy them. Move with Tanya west and then head north to blow up the Power Plants, remember that on Hard Tanya is debuffed so use her wisely during the fights. When you steal the money with Thievs, reinforcements will arrive to the north, deploy the base and quickly focus on defending it with tanks and anti-air. Once your production & economy are stable, attack the base to your south then focus on the main base, just eradicate it with Medium Tanks and mission is done.
Soviet Mission 1 Lesson In Blood
First mission in the Soviet campaign and it's a damn shame to even make a guide about such easy mission that is hard to lose. You've got an air support coming from Yak aircrafts, and to make things even more funny, the resistance does not have any anti-air. What is even more ironic, whole village is covered in barrels, so this looks like a FPS game where barrels are placed near monsters. The only competition in this mission may be finishing the mission as fast as possible or without any casualties, also on Hard. So, once you begin the mission with paratroopers, send your Yaks to attack any barrels on the map, to make mission a little bit faster. Once you reach the bridge to the north, there is another surprise - barrels near pillboxes, so do not waste time and just send aircrafts to finish it. Oh, and Toruń does not look like that for sure, it's not a village and there are no mountains in range of few hundred kilometers.
Soviet Mission 2 Guard Duty
Here you are introduced to the debuffed Grenadiers while playing as Soviets - try to limit their usage as much as possible. They are walking (or running) barrels with gunpowder, their deaths can trigger a chain reaction, even dozens of them can die at once. Also they really like to miss when throwing grenades at moving targets like Ranger Scouts or Harvester, they are quite ♥♥♥♥ on hard. So it's better to focus on the old reliable Riflemen, really expendable cannon fodder that does wonders in large masses. Whatever route you choose, just avoid the center bridge because Gun Turrets will most likely destroy it, killing your infantry also. When you enter the Allied base, there will be several reinforcements with paratroopers, then it will be just a straightforward finish. Also as always in Red Alert 1, there is a hidden money crate when you destroy a church near your base.
Soviet Mission 3 Covert Cleanup
So, the Spy has infiltrated a Soviet Sarin Gas facility in Soviet Union (while map shows Denmark), you must get him in 15 minutes. Mission is quite simple and like a lot of Soviet missions, also fast to complete, there are no really difficult puzzles to solve. 15 minutes is also enough to finish that mission with a big margin of error at your side, all your units are sufficient to finish it. When you begin the mission, send your Attack Dogs to the east and free the Soviet Riflemen and Grenadiers from captivity in barn. Once outside, move your Grenadiers south to reveal barrels connected to a Pillbox - throw a grenade and move through barbed wires. From this moment, just follow the Spy, he will move via transport to another part of the island and then hide in Church. If you leave him alone till end of the timer, Chinook will arrive to pick him up, losing the mission (and you also lose your head).
Soviet Mission 4 Behind Enemy Lines
First mission that takes more than few minutes, your objective is to take out Allied Radar Dome, to cut their reinforcements in Berlin. Once the mission starts, expand with 2 Refineries to get a steady income from your Refineries, then concentrate on the War Factories. Since this mission, you will rely mostly on the Heavy Tanks, they have twice the firepower of Medium Tank and are way more resilient. You might also produce one or two V2 Launchers just for sieges, they are also useful when some units spawn in unreachable places. As for the money gathering here, the Ore and Gems on the map will be enough for whole mission, it will take you like 15 minutes to finish. But that bridge near your base, well... it's very hard to not destroy it, while some Light Tanks are placed there to annoy you. In case you cant find any units, here is a tip - they are most likely in an unreachable area, you can reach them only with V2 Launchers.
Soviet Mission 5 Distant Thunder
Oh boy, lots of you will most likely fail this mission because of no money anymore to gather, bug or just very glitched win triggers. This is a very difficult and long mission on Hard if you do not stick to few but very important rules, it is always your choice though. Do not build a Sub Pen before Allied MCV lands on other island, if you do this, the Allies will build there a very tough stronghold to crack. ORE and Gems are precious and scarce resources here, if it's possible destroy Allied Harvesters as fast as possible, outside ore fields. On Hard difficulty, make like 11-12 Yaks to destroy the Allied Construction Yard once it deploys on the island, to avoid making a mission much longer. 2 Refineries and 4 Harvesters will be enough here, that small island where you start is not big and resources will be depleted very fast. When you encounter a bug with MCV not loading to the transport, make a Save/Load and it will resolve this annoying issue.
Soviet Mission 6 Bridge Over The River Grotzny
Before I played this mission, I've wondered is it still possible to pull this old trick and win mission in less than one minute. And holy crap, it works as it had been working back in classic, when you select Grotzny river this mission is a really easy breeze. Once you start the mission, lure the Allies to destroy/heavy damage your MCV, this will help you a little with conserving tanks. Since then, focus on simply breaking through the defense line next to the bridge, just draw the attention from your convoy trucks. When your tanks, launchers, infantry and NPCs engage against the Allies, slip your trucks through their units and... Cruisers. Thankfully, units love to miss a lot in Red Alert and your convoy trucks are too fast for their cannons and projectiles to catch. When your trucks are on the bridge, they get a very strange speed boost, leave the bridge and reach corner of the map, mission completed.
Soviet Mission 7 Core of the Matter
The Allies are really desperate and they send Agent Tanya deep inside Soviet Union to meet her final destination in Soviet Campaign. When you start the mission, just run with your Riflemen to the south, luckily the Allies are really dumb and engage in pursuit. Once your Riflemen are safe, destroy the barrels and just fry the Allied soldiers behind you and move south to find Attack Dogs. Then head to the west of the map to reach the Engineers, really easy because all of your dogs will overcome few Allied soldiers. Move the engineers to the 4 stations to stop the meltdown, you will see there is a small but heavily guarded room to southeast. Move all of your Attack Dogs there and send an Engineer to make mission easier - it will reactivate the defence systems near Tanya. With Tanya and other soldiers fried by the Flame Towers near the reactor, move any Engineer and turn the coolant system back online.
Soviet Mission 8 Elba Island
The Soviets finally caught their eyes on the Chronosphere, you have to travel to Elba and destroy the Allies with some rebels. The mission is pretty straightforward, for the first time you also have the possibility to use Tesla Coils to defend your base from attacks. Their range is godlike and they pack a lot of firepower, unfortunately their resilience and rate of fire are pretty mediocre. The brown rebels will be your first target for sure, they are very close to you, they basically pose no threat to you. Then focus on the blue Allied base, of course Harvesters are primary target because this means way more Ore for you to gather. And unfortunately you also have to destroy all Naval vessels on map, it can be quite annoying with naval units pathfinding.
Soviet Mission 9 Liability Elimination
When I launched this mission, first what I thought was pulling out a very old trick with destroying the Supply Truck at start of the mission. But unfortunately it seems that it was working only in the Easy/Normal difficulty levels, thankfully on Hard it is also really fast. Just when you begin the mission, destroy the Allied units in base and head west to destroy the second Allied commander to pin him down. Repair all of the Power Plants inside base and build the Airfield, it will be crucial to finish this mission as soon as possible. Use the Spy Plane northeast to reveal the Supply Truck hidden in Allied base, when you know the location just wait for paratroopers. Drop them to the left of the truck and order them to attack it, once the truck is destroyed by 5 Riflemen, the mission is over.
Soviet Mission 10 Overseer
Even though you are introduced in this mission to the MiG bombers, they are not so much needed when protecting the convoy. The key in this mission is to be aggressive, when you use your Heavy Tanks, be always in the move and squish the infantry if possible. Remember that in classic Red Alert, something like perfect accuracy does not exist and every projectile has problems with hitting the target. As soon as you start move south and destroy the opposition, then head west and destroy every barrel and every turret you will encounter. You will also find the health crate but save it for later, when you are about to enter the last phase of protecting the convoy. When there is only 15 minutes to finish the mission, destroy the barrels on the highground and simple move to the west and finish the mission.
Soviet Mission 11 Sunk Cost
Oh you will really dislike this mission on Hard, the Allies will send Cruisers after you, all the time during the mission. Not only Cruisers but also some scripted transport attacks with tanks or Chinooks with infantry and even Engineers to annoy you. Do not let the Allies destroy the bridges connecting your island with that full of ore and gems, it will usually happen when your units try to cross it. The Allied base is simply overloaded with defences, thankfully their Power Plants are exposed in one place, just there are some units and pillboxes. But the main route is simply a hell, full of mines and turrets, camo pillboxes almost everywhere and the road is just incredibly long. This is also a first mission where Mammoth Tanks make their debut, they are really slow but they make a good shield for your V2 Launchers.

New patch today should fix the Soviet invulnerability bug for mission 12
ArgelTal 26 Jun, 2020 @ 1:36pm
the original idea belongs to Dave (https://steamproxy.net/id/djtaylor/)

PC -> disk -> Program Files x86 -> Steam -> userdata -> (large number) -> 1213210 -> remote -> Player_RA_settings_1 (or if your Tiberian Dawn campaign got bugged, then Player_TD_settings_1)

once you find Player_RA_settings_1, disable your Steam Cloud, delete Player_RA_settings_1, start playing new campaign (cheat modes doesn't affect the achievements, so it won't take long time and/or any brain cells of yours).

important: KEEP Player_RA_settings_1 IN YOUR RECYCLE BIN, DO NOT DELETE IT FROM THE RECYCLE BIN.

Soviet Mission 5 Distant Thunder
I think there is a simple way. When you land your units on the center island, you will get MCV. You can deploy your MCV there and gather ores and attack enemies on the center island.
So first focus on destroy army in your islands using tanks, then use submarine to clear a way to the center island. After that, bring an MCV with four tanks to the center island. Build an army and crush your enemies!
Nanosheep 20 Jun, 2020 @ 4:44pm
Expand the base and build sam sites to prevent choppers from knocking out your power. You may wish to use the minelayer to mine the southern beach tip of the ore field to the south east to prevent transports unloading there.

Hopefully your sub has killed the cruisers by now. Send them up north until they reach the naval yard and destroy it and any cruisers there to prevent them from siccing them on your base.

From this point onwards your economy should be secure enough to roll in tanks up north.

Further advice: use V2s to snipe enemy defence buildings. It would be beneficial for you to capture the enemy con yard north of the bridge to allow yourself to build a naval yard of your own. That way you can build cruisers. :Tanya:
Nanosheep 20 Jun, 2020 @ 4:44pm
Soviet Mission 14 strat that I did:

Set the game at the slowest speed. Micro tanks units to focus on killing the enemy heavy tanks one at a time. Get V2s to knock out the artillery. Force fire near the allied beachhead to destroy any mines that may be there.

Build your base, and leave tanks along the shore. This will stop the enemy transports from deploying if you put them in the right position. Build a Sub pen ASAP and build 2 submarines. Send them north east up along the sea until you encounter a cruiser with gunboat escort. Let the gunboats pass and kite the cruiser with the sub. Fire and move so that the gunboats don't kill your sub. This is important to prevent the cruiser from destroying your base later.

@ChaoSSyntH I have this exact same bug but on TD T_T
80/81, everything else unlocked though.
ArgelTal 15 Jun, 2020 @ 11:37am
does anyone else has a bug with campaign achievements?
I beat all Soviet missions on hard difficulty, but it stuck at 13 out of 14.
The Allied achievements worked, the bonus gallery achievement worked.
WTF?
Great guide though.
