Description
The Class 325 is a class of EMU used on the West Coast Main Line (WCML), operated by DB Cargo, on behalf of British State Postal service, Royal Mail (RM). The sets entered service in 1995, and were used throughout the country until the early 2000s, when RM decided to lay off the class 325s in favour of more versatile forms of transport. The fleet re-started operations in 2004, with Great British Rail Freight (GBrf) holding the contract. This expired in 2010, when it was handed to DB schenker, who still run the trains to this day, albeit under the name of DB Cargo. They operate as 4-car multiple Units, and can operate on both 750v DC 3rd-rail, or 25kv AC OLE.

The train seen here is 325011, which was constructed in 1996, and is in operation on the WCML. The livery is the current plain red, although, units had double yellow "go faster" stripes along the side of the bodywork, originally. The vehicle is fully AirISO cargo system compatible, and finally brings enclosed AirISO transportation to rail.

This train was originally entered into MrNJersey's freight train challenge, and sadly fared poorly, with this being my least voted creation to date. Nonetheless, this is the vehicle I'm proudest of, and I hope it one day receives according attention. Built by GWVillager

Glad you like it! Enclosed AirISO was the reason I made it back in the day

Hey, this is a great loco, I wanted one with enclosed cargo space and the AirISO compatibility enhances it even further! Thanks!
