How to PAYDAY 2 : the basic for new beginners

The basic things we all must know for playing the game. Many games available may have the same or different setting. This guide will serve you a little more details about the setting, game play, tips and much more. (For new players ONLY)

Setting
To begin with, the basic things we have to know like the setting and how’s it works.
-Change what you’d like “ON FOOT” and “IN VEHECLES”

Preparation

Move a cursor on top of those and get inside to change
-Character (set your preferred character 1 2 3 & 4)
In case when you join other's lobby, someone has chosen your character then it will switch to your second or third or fourth preferred character.

-Mask (can be customize)

-Armor (Armor, Outfit and Gloves)
wearing the right one for the right mission

-Equipment
can carry 2 types of equipment by using the skill

-Primary weapon and Secondary weapon
the screen indicates the same

-Throwable

-Melee weapon
pick one you'd like

-Crew management
AI team, can be customize

Skills, Perk deck, Infamy
beyond the basic but important as well, you have to earn some skill or perk points to upgrade them
Weapon
The screen indicates the same for Primary and Secondary weapon. There are 20 pages for both, each contains 16 slots x20= 320 slots.
Spend “$800,000 of Cash” to unlock per 1 slot

Let’s choose “Bank heist”,then focus on the right side and move a cursor on top of the text and click it to edit
See this screen after press to buy contract, you also can change anything you want here
-Change heist……. if you buy the wrong contract or change your mind, you can buy a new one without leaving a lobby. (For Host only)
-Edit game settings (can't change difficulty filter, have to buy a new one to change and of course HOST can only do it)
-Go into INVENTORY to change your things (except your character)
-Player list, to view or kick players
-Invite friends.
-Options, it is a “setting”.
-Leave this lobby, up to you.
(Be careful, get yourself ready once click start the heist otherwise you can change a few things only)


You can switch to all the things you need but you only cannot customize the weapon and change the mask here.

-Also can see your teammate's setup including yours here (except throwable)

TIP:
IN LOBBY AND IN BRIEFING
IF YOU ARE NOT HOST
Don't waste the time to change or customize your things too long while other players are waiting.
Of course a HOST of the game can do anything, even KICK or BAN you off.

Edit game settings
Let’s take a look for a few, Tactic and Allow drop-in.
Tactic
Every mission has a plan for stealth and loud or can do both, but some heist require to do ONLY stealth or loud. If you are not sure, check it in “CONTRACT_BROKER”.

"STEALTH ONLY"
Don't set the alarm, keep quiet as possible. The lower detection risk, the better to do stealth.

Available only 5 heists.

Even they said it is "stealth only" but if you've finish the objectives and set the alarm on the very end, the count down start,
you have a few seconds before escape


For example:
"MURKY STATION"
If secure all 16 bags and set the alarm, you've about ~12 seconds before you fail if you don't reach the escape area.

"LOUD ONLY"
There are many of heists, kill kill kill !!!
Popular heists for great Exp and beware the enemies a bit more
+Hoxton Breakout (2 days to complete)
+Hotline Miami (2 days to complete)
+Panic Room (1 day to complete)
and more...


"STEALTH POSSIBLE"
Can do both stealth and loud.
Simple way to know is, "mostly" from the start, you haven't put on the mask yet.

For example:
"BANK HEIST"

Allow drop-in
After buy a contract, we have 2 steps such as in “lobby” and in “briefing”. Any players can join your game if you set “permission to public".

When the game start (in game)

-Set it OFF: no one can join into the game anymore.
-Set it ON: anyone can join and drop-in right in front of you.


-PROMPT: if you want to know information about a person who joining with before drop-in. You can see their weapons, perk deck, equipment, throwable and more.
Recommended to set this setting but up to you, sometimes it makes the game crash for no reason or make people scare to join your lobby

+ACCEPT: then instant drop right in front of you
+RETURN: bring that person back to “in briefing” again, if you want him or her to change things like weapons, armor or equipment (very helpful when doing stealth).
+KICK: you are boss here, up to you.
Detection Risk
Very important for doing stealth, the lower detection risk, the better to avoid failure for stealth.
It is NOT a ping or latency (like 1ms-999ms).
The lowest number is 3 and the highest is 75.


What is it and why should I care?
+To avoid detected from security guards, cameras and civilians in stealth.
An example below shown that having high detection risk, the guard detect so fast when getting to close without wearing a mask yet.
(only civilians will not detect, when you are in casing mode or not wearing a mask yet)


+To gain benefit from the skills such as Sneaky Bastard for dodge and Low Blow for critical hits (mostly for loud mission, that why you can see people having low detection rate in loud).


In addition, having low detection rate doesn't mean to use those skills and doing loud only. It’s related to perk decks and concealment as well.

Tips: total concealment = 119 or above will get 3 detection risk.
And total concealment = 91 or below will get 75 detection risk.

Skill
On top we have 5 categories (Skill trees), Mastermind, Enforcer, Technician, Ghost and Fugitive.
On bottom contains 3 columns (Sub-Tree) and for every each one has 4 tiers
Each tier needs skill points to unlock by Left Click to use the point and Right Click to return points, look from Bottom to Top.
Tier 1, 2 and 3, you can unlock them easily but tier 4 needs 16 points (after Infamy 5), manage them your own and differentiate between Basic and Ace by look at its color. Light color for Basic and darker bold for Ace.
Tier 1 (Basic 1 + Ace 3) = 4 points
Tier 2 (Basic 2 + Ace 4) + (Basic 2 + Ace 4) = 12 points
Tier 3 (Basic 3 + Ace 6) + (Basic 3 + Ace 6) = 18 points
Tier 4 (Basic 4 + Ace 8) = 12 points
4 tiers = total 46 points x 3 columns =138 points max / one category
138 points x 5 categories = 690 points! (if you see anyone has, CHEATER!)

Maximum point when reach Level 100 will give you 120 points. So, manage them carefully, you have limited point to spend.
Skill (continue)
Tips: Interact/shout Key [mine is E] is the mostly use in the game, mark special enemies, use equipment, interact with objects or do objectives and more.
-Shooting without losing ammo in 6 seconds or do objectives before getting down (Swan song Ace)
-Make cops surrender (No require any skill, just melee them one time and shout at them)
-Can convert them to fight for you with the right skill and up to 2 persons only
-Hostages are very important as well, including civilians and surrender cops.
-You can regenerate your health bit by bit with Hostage Taker Skill.
-Also can trade yourself out of custody without any delay (Stockholm Syndrome Ace) by press Jump [Space].
If you killed civilian and don't have Stockholm Syndrome skill, it will be delayed depend on how many you have killed. And wait for your friend to trade you out, until the police assault end only (see at the top right of your screen while in game).

Skill (continue)
Tips: Deploy equipment/throw bag Key [my keybinding is F],
hit one time to throw the bag, while hit and hold to place equipment on the floor or any flat surface NOT in the mid-air. For example, first aid kid, you placed it then you can using by getting near and HOLD your interact Key.


-You can carry 2 types of equipment by having Jack of all Trades [ACE] skill. Use your change deployable KEY to switch [my keybinding is X].



-Helping your teammate by shout at them to get up within the range of 9 meters from anywhere but wait for 20 seconds to use it again [Inspire ACE].


+EXTRA: Ai team also can do this by add an ability for them in inventory setup >> "Crew management" >> "Crew ability"

-No one can help you? don't worry use this skill "Messiah". When going down try to kill an
enemy and press JUMP to get up and can do only one time for [Basic]. But if you use a doctor bag then you can use this skill over and over again [ACE].


Perk Deck
Perk deck for stealth

For stealth, movement speed, interaction speed and lower detection from the security guards, cameras, civilians are the main key to success. With fully upgrade of the deck, you will gain more speed in term of your movement, bag dead bodies, answering pagers and pick locks.

Tips:
-Prepare your weapons with silent killer suppressor or can use any bow
-Wearing armor with the highest concealment
-Having necessary skills (Jack of all trade skill is an optional to carry 2 types of equipment)
-Carry the equipment specifically for stealth
-Throwable, DO NOT carry any grenades!


-Do not break or crack windows and doors which made from glass


-You can shout at enemies immediately (in stealth) after detected to make them surrender without killed and don't forget to answers the pager (No require a skill)
-You can mark enemies but civilian cannot (No require a skill)

ECM
-You can use ECM jammer to delay the alarm last for 20 seconds and up to about 30 seconds with skills. And also delay the pagers, open an electronic door with skill as well.

Body bag case
Use for stealth, why some people carry this for doing "loud only"

-Cleaning what you’ve done. And don't forget to hide them as well both loots and body bags.
(body bag case contains 3 bags, you can place it anywhere and at the start of the game you've got 1 bag. Also can keep with you only 2 bags, with skill up to 3 bags)

-You can check more information by press [TAB]

-After kill any guards, must answer the pager. To know that who has the pager or not just wait a few seconds and check that dead body and you will know it.


Trip mines
-Optional for stealth and loud mission. Be careful for using it.
+Blue laser: for sensor mode

#Perk deck design to be adaptive
Be adaptive in here is about can be used both stealth and loud mission. It is a choice from the perk deck, you don’t need to fully upgrade to get the full potential but still be able to get some of its benefit.

Yakuza Perk Deck

This perk deck is about lower your health to gain more armor recovery rate, which really helpful in loud mission to against damage taken from enemies. With fully upgrade till card No.9+special skill that will be a great benefit for you.

In addition, card No.3 is a special among all of them. If your health below 25%, you will gain up to 20% movement speed.
You can adapt to upgrade up to this card No.3 for stealth or get fully upgrade to gain more for loud as well (your choice because at the start we have limited points to spend for the perk deck. However, once fully upgrades, it cannot go back or return points which different from skill points).

Tips: lower your health by using Molotov Cocktail to hurt yourself in stealth (just be careful, it might alert the guard if nearby)

Hacker Perk Deck

In similar, this perk deck will give you an “ECM device" but just a small version (pocket) to replace in your throwable slot instead, the function still the same as the big one.

It has 2 charges with 6 seconds duration each (6x2=up to 12 seconds use simultaneously) and also has cooldown time 100 seconds but if you perform a kill, the time shorten by 6 seconds per one kill.

-Jammer effect (For stealth): disabling all electronics such as pagers, cameras. As you can see, just grap this device and go for stealth (card No.1), just an optional and no need to fully upgrade to get it.



-Feedback effect (For loud): stun enemies and plus extra for this perk, killing enemies while it activates will regenerate 20 health, 20 dodge chance for 30 seconds. Your crew members can help you gain benefit as well (fully upgrade till card No.9).

-Kill= dodge+health+shorten cooldown, main things for this perk deck. The more you have killed, the more you gonna earn. (while it activates, please read the description carefully).

*New Perk Deck in 2022
A new perk deck in the year of 2022 called “Copycat" and it's the most versatile perk deck to date.

#Difficulties

Let’s take a look about difficulty just a bit
The higher difficulty, the harder you gonna success in stealth. They increasing cameras, guards, civilians and more challenges for you.
Whereas, the higher difficulty, the easier you gonna down in loud. It is all about damage and how do you gonna deal with.

-Hard to Very hard: some special enemies add-on
-Overkill to Mayhem: some more special enemies add-on. After revived you will gain about 10% of your health back in Mayhem, instead of almost 50% before Mayhem.
-Death wish to Death sentence: enemies do more and more damages respectively.
-One down is special added; you can add to any difficulties while you buy the contract.
The highest difficulty played by most people is Death sentence+one down (DSOD for short)

One down means, you can down only one time (the grey screen) before get in custody.

Doctor bag and First Aid Kit
You can upgrade them by skills.
-Use a Doctor bag to reset your down and recover your health at the same time, can only use 2 times per 1 doctor bag. Up to 4 times per 1 bag and can carry up to 2 bags.

#Perk deck design for loud
There are many choices for loud, which role you willing to be
-Support/backup+recovery
-Attack/frontlines+recovery
-Advanced combination

It is your personal decision to choose, there are various mission to play, have some difficulties to pick and it all depends on you and your friend to deal with challenges.

Some of the perk decks which most people said “this is the best one” or “you can use this in DSOD” but if you don’t know how it works, you will make it worse instead, no one gonna answer that perfectly.

Roughly, your health and armor are very important to against enemies in the battle. "Take a cover" is king, even you are strong enough to against enemies but you must find a place to cover or rest just a bit.

-Crew Chief Perk deck: boost crew members health, stamina, speed (Support)
-Muscle Perk deck: gain more health and slightly to be targeted by enemies (Attack)
-Armorer Perk deck: gaining more armor rate (Attack)
-Rogue Perk deck: all about dodge (Support)
-Hitman Perk deck: for akimbo weapon and slightly benefit for armor recovery rate (Support)
-Crook Perk deck: all about dodge+ slightly benefit for armor (Support)
And much more…

Gambler, Grinder, Ex-president
All about health and slightly different among them.
*Gambler Perk Deck
Collecting ammo drop will share health and ammo for you and crew members are the full potential of this perk deck. (use this perk to support friends)

-Card no.1: heal yourself only and wait about 3 seconds to do it again
-Card no.3: gain more health 20%, ammo you have pickup will share about 50% of the amount to your friends and wait about 5 seconds to do it again
-Card no.5: gain more health 20%, now can share about 50% of your healing to your friends too.
-Card no.7 & 9: additional healing 8+8=16
Your base health is 230+40%= 322
(card no.3=20% + card no.5=20%)

This work really well to support the team, in term of ammo and health sharing. On the other hand, in much higher difficulty, this can’t gonna deal with lots of damages (up to Mayhem).

Tips:
Equipment: recommended a doctor bag or carry 2 types (Jack of all trade skill)
Weapons: any which may drain your ammo faster and also high ammo pickup too
Armor: any which may have high armor rate. For Improved Combined Tactical Vest ( I C T V) you need IRON MAN skill [ACE] to get it.
*Grinder Perk Deck

Card No.1: damage an enemy heal 1 life every 0.3 seconds for 3 seconds
(1 second/0.3= 3.33 life x 3s ~ 10 health)

Card No.3: 20% more health, damage an enemy now heal 2 life
(1 second/0.3= 3.33 x2life x 3s ~ 20 health)

Card No.5: chance to pierce enemy armor by 10%, damage an enemy now heal 3 life
(1 second/0.3= 3.33 x3life x 3s ~ 30 health)

Card No.7: 20% more health, damage an enemy now heal 4 life
(1 second/0.3= 3.33 x4life x 3s ~ 40 health)

Card No.9: chance to pierce enemy armor by 20%, damage an enemy now heal 4 life every 0.3 seconds for 4.2 seconds
(1 second/0.3= 3.33 x4life x 4.2s ~ 56 health)
Your base health 230+40%= 322

The full potential of the perk deck is about healing yourself only, just “damage enemies” not even kill and you got healed. It can be flexible to many situations, be support, be sacrifice for the team or backup behind the scene. Most of perk decks for support have a weakness, when you surround by enemies then cannot to protect yourself and easily to get down.
A good perk to do anything you want because you no need to worry about your health too much
(up to Death Wish difficulty)

Anything that can damage enemies from your weapons, equipment, throwable, melee attack will heal yourself and without limit if continuous damaging enemies (can stack but cannot occur more than once every 1.5 seconds).


Tips:
Armor: Must only Two-Piece Suit and Lightweight Ballistic Vest (L B V)
Throwable: Any which can damage enemies
Melee: Any which can damage enemies or stun at the same time such as Buzzer, Electrical Brass Knuckles

Strategy 1 (Real support)
Equipment: Bring doctor bags (medic bag another word) OR First aid kit for your friends. You just use a few and the rest of them for friends.
Skill: Inspire ACE, upgrade medic skills as possible

Strategy 2 (Backup/trapper+support)
Equipment: Sentries and trip mines are the part of your equipment, means it can damage enemies and help healing yourself.

-Bring trip mines as primary deployable and a doctor bag as secondary deployable
OR
-Bring sentries as primary deployable and an ammo bag as secondary deployable

Skill:
-Inspire skill [ACE], upgrade medic skills as possible.
-Techician > Engineer for sentry and Jack of all trade skill*
-Techician > Breacher for explosive
*You can only bring half of what you would bring if it was equipped as a primary deployable
Trip Mines+Shaped Charges (it is one type of equipment, cannot separate)
By default, it gives you 3 trip mines+ 3 shaped charge (3/3) and can be upgrade by skill, data shown below.

If you have Jack of all trade skill+upgrade mines, here's the data.
[default], Primary (3/3), Secondary (2/2)
More firepower skill [Basic], Primary (7/4), Secondary (4/2)
More firepower skill [ACE], Primary (14/6), Secondary (7/3)

Trap it!
For normal explosive (no require skill), it will explode if enemies walk through a red sensor or you can make it explode by yourself.

Trap it again with a real fire wall!
Upgrade with skills to spread fire around

BOOM! any doors or cages
Because a sharped charge bring along with trip mine, use it and profit (no require skill)
-Normal cage need 1
-Normal door need 1
-An electronic door need 2 or 3
-A Safe, depend on how large it is

-Normal sentry gun: likely to be targeted by enemies (easily to break because of this)
-Suppressed sentry gun: seem to be ignored by enemies
-Caution of use: Eat lots of ammo!
-Can be upgraded by skill (to get the full power, otherwise it seems to be useless)
-Can pickup and place it again, anywhere at any time
-Green outline for single fire (or AP rounds) and blue outline for auto fire
(move away from them just a bit then can switch by interact with them)
-Auto fire is set by default once place it and can be changed if you want.


Strategy 3 (Advanced)
There are 2 choices, pick one you’d like.
No need Jack of all trade skill, we just need ammo bags and while the same time be able to help friends with Inspire skill.
However, weapons also need some skills to upgrade and which type do you want to use, rifles, LMGs,shotgun or pistol (single or akimbo).

Attack+Inspire skill [Basic OR ACE]+ Ammo:
-Weapons need to be great, to defeat more enemies (more skills to spend)

Support+Inspire skill [Basic OR ACE]+ Ammo:
-Weapons: pick the suitable ones for you

With the right skill,
-Increase the range of ammo pick up (Good for Gambler Perk deck as well)
-Carry 2 ammo bags,
-Bulletstorm
-Increase total ammo capacity

If you may know the Bulletstorm (a bit tricky but useful). Lower your ammo that have left in the gun as possible to get the full power of the ammo bag+bulletstorm.

*Ex-President Perk Deck

This perk deck is about store the health from any kill by you (including your equipment) and your friends then start healing yourself once the armor fully breaks and regenerate back.
Your base health= 230+(10%+10%+20%) = 322

The line inside of your health is the stored health. The Maximum amount of stored health depends on your equipped armor.

Be careful, it will start healing yourself when the armor fully breaks and regenerate back, which mean you gonna lose all of your stored health, even you taken a slightly damage.

The armor no need to be fully regenerated to gain stored health but regenerate back just a bit can be helped, with the skill.


Tips:
Quite similar to Grinder but you have to store health before fight back the enemies just for sure, you won’t down easily.
Armor: Two-Piece suit or LBV should be fine. You will gain a bit of dodge chance as well
Weapons: Any which can kill faster and efficient.
Equipment: First Aid Kit for you OR Medic bag if you have a confidence.
#Perk Deck specifically for loud (Death Wish or above)
On Death Wish or higher difficulties, things gonna be different. All members in the team need to be advanced in every aspect such as skills, experiences with the mission and know what the objectives are.

Important skills but some depending on perk deck or some useless if you are confident to complete the heist without having them.

-Inspire [ACE]
-Uppers, for First aid kit
-Combat Doctor, for Medic bag
-Swan song
-Weapons upgrade (shotguns, rifles, pistol)
-Resilience [ACE], reduce flashbangs effect by 75%
And more…

Let’s take a look with some interesting perk deck,
Anarchist, Kingpin, Stoic Peck Deck
*Anarchist Perk Deck
This perk deck is about armor regenerate, wearing heavier armor will regenerate more armor but during longer intervals and 50% of your health is converted into armor.
Example: Fully upgrade
Base health =230-50% = 115 health

Card no.7: 50% of health is converted into 120% armor

Two-piece suit = 20 armor
  • 230*50% of health = 115 armor
  • Perk = (115*120%) =138
  • Total 138+20= 158 armor without skill

  • Skill+suit= Iron man [Basic] 30%+20 = 26
  • Skill+perk= Iron man [Basic] 30%+138 = 179.4
Total 185.4 armor with skill
Continuously regenerate armor for Two-piece suit (1-2 seconds)

I C T V= 170 armor (Iron man skill, of course)
  • 230*50% of health = 115 armor
  • Perk = (115*120%) =138
  • Skill+ I C T V= 30%+ 170 = 221
  • Skill+perk= 30%+138 = 179.4
  • Total 179.4+221= 400.4 armor with skill
Continuously regenerate armor for I C T V (about 10 seconds)

Card no.9: Damage enemies will give you 10 armor points (every 1.5 seconds)

Tips:
Skill
“Bullseye” skill, regenerate armor for successful headshot
“Iron man” skill, [Basic] is enough for any armor or [ACE] for I C T V
"Sneaky bastard", for dodge if wearing two-piece suit

Armor
Heavier = longer regenerate (most people choose two-piece suit)

Weapons
+Any weapons that can kill enemies faster to gain armor
+A special weapon that can damage enemies around you like flamethrower to gain 10 armor points every 1.5 seconds.

Equipment
First aid kit for sure
OR
Medic bag if you have a confidence to protect your armor from fully break and you also got only 2 seconds before you got hurt (wait 15 seconds to gain this benefit again)
*Kingpin Perk Deck
NOTE: DLC but no longer available to purchase
This perk deck is pretty advanced if you know how to use but also hard to explain. It’s more than healing yourself or invincible or immortal in a short period of time once using it.
Rather than just explain, some examples will be given.
Card no.3, 5, 7 & 9= gain more health (10%+10%+20%+40%) = 80%+230 base health= total 414

2 conditions:
Healing part
  • activate Kingpin injector it will heal you while taken damage but you must have the armor left.
  • Recommend to wear heavier armors to gain much more

  • If the armor fully breaks you will got hurt instead and stop at 50% of health (slightly damage bit by bit) if you upgrade to card no.7

Immortal part (upgrade to card no.7)
  • activate Kingpin injector while your health below 50%, the effect of healing increases by 25%+75% (card no.1), which mean you’ve got 100% healing from all damage taken.
Example:
Health remains 100- damage 75 = 25, after that the next damage you gonna take will heal 100% (heal 25 of health you have left).

  • It seems like you are immortal but the truth behind is you got heal equal to the damage you have taken and after your health is below 50% only, when your armor gets depleted. Take a good look at your health once it has below 50%, use it and profit.

If the armor regenerate back, you will got heal again

NOTE:
-Damage yourself = health, while the armor not fully break only
-Can take advantage of tear gas or fire because they drain your armor bit by bit
-“Bullsyes skill”, could help. Regenerate a little bit of armor back then taken damage and got healed again.

Tips:
Armor
We cannot rely too much on the “healing part” while playing the harder mission.
-Two-piece suit for dodge, rely on the immortal ability because the armor easily to break
-Heavier armor, rely on the depletion of the armor which benefit for both healing and immortal ability

Equipment
If you haven’t fully upgraded the “Medic skill” yet, bring a medic bag for 2 charges of use that should be fine rather than just bring a few first aid kits. In addition, just bring anything you’d like but have to manage carefully.

*Stoic Perk Deck
This perk deck is about damage reduction or another word, drink to eliminate your pain.
Of course, this cannot heal your life fully 100% back because of various conditions like damage-over-time (bleeding out) but the flask (bottle of alcohol) will do its work by immediately negate any pending damage.

-Reduced 75% means you’ve to take that 25% of the damage. After that the 75% of damages will come later on.


Example 1:
Let’s say we have 90 of health and got 100 of damage
-Without this perk: 90-100= 0 health
-Card no.1, you still got damage (No healing back at all)
90-25 (damage received) = 65 health
The remaining damage will be applied (75%*100=75)
Use the Flask to eliminate the damage-over-time (75). If you don’t, you will get 0 health or die at the end but you’ve got 12 seconds to decide whether to use it or not.

75 damage (demage-over-time) in 12 seconds= 6.25 damage/second
90 health-25 (demage received) = 65 health
65-(6.25x1s) = 58.75 health
65-(6.25x2s) = 52.5 health
65-(6.25x3s) = 46.25 health
.
.
And continuous to decrease until die if you don’t use the Flask

-Card no.3 = all of armor is converted to health (you’ve “zero armor” now)

-Card no.5= after not taking damage for 4 seconds, the remaining damage will be gone automatically.
75 damage (damage-over-time) in 12 seconds= 6.25 damage/second
6.25x4 seconds= 25 damage
6.25x8 seconds= 50 damage (will be gone automatically if not taking any damage in 4 seconds)
90-25 (damage received) = 65 health
65-25 (damage-over-time in 4 seconds) = 40 health

-Card no.7= cooldown reduce if your health is below 35%

-Card no.9= healing back additional 50% of the damage-over-time remaining at that point
, when it removed.

In this case, you gain back more than you’ve lost, if you “use the Flask immediately” after taking damage.
90-25= 65 health
The damage-over-time remaining = 6.25*12 seconds
= 75*50% = 37.5
=65+37.5= 102.5 health

Another case, if you decide “NOT” to use the Flask and wait for 4 seconds
(combine feature from card no.5 & 9)
90-25= 65 health
75 damage (damage-over-time) in 12 seconds= 6.25 damage/second
6.25x4 seconds= 25 damage
6.25x8 seconds= 50 damage (remaining damage-over-time) x 50% = 25 additional healing back
65-25 = 40 (card no.5) +25(additional healing back) = 65 health

Example 2:
Let’s say we have 100 of health and got 10 of damage
10 of damage = 2.5 (25%)
10 of damage = 7.5 (75%)

100-2.5= 97.5 health
7.5 damage (damage-over-time) in 12 seconds= 0.625 damage/second
0.625x4 seconds= 2.5 damage
0.625x8 seconds= 5 damage (remaining damage-over-time) x 50% = 2.5 additional healing back
97.5-2.5 = 95 (card no.5) +2.5(additional healing back) = 97.5 health

Example 3:
It might be some situation you’ve got a continuous amount of damage but the damage-over-time haven’t applied yet. Here’s the result (no theory to support, it just works)

NOTE: The actual number may vary because of some factors such as skills and team boost

Improved combined Tactical Vest to max the full power of the perk deck or you can wear any armor if you have confident to against all of crazy damages come from everywhere. And don’t forget your total armor is converted to health.

*Leech Perk Deck
A new perk deck in the year of 2021 (15/12/2021) called “Leech” and can be used for loud mission only.
It's quite powerful and more fun perk deck.


Press the throwable key to use it, same like Hacker, Stoic or other perk deck which will replace your throwable equipment to be a special equipment that come with a peck deck.
Here’s called “The Leech Ampule”.


Note: with fully upgrade this perk deck will give you more health up to 80%.
(Description is not correct)
+Base health = 230 + (80% more health = 184)
=230 + 184 = 414 #


Card No.1
It’s a simple perk deck to use The Leech Ampule for healing yourself up to 40% of total health.
Ex: your current HP is 207 + (40% of total health x 414)
= 207 + 165.6
= 372.6 #


+Killing 2 enemies will heal yourself back 1 part of your health and block damage for 1 second
+Duration while using The Leech Ampule is 6 seconds and 30 seconds cooldown


While using The Leech Ampule, your health will divide into 5 parts
(segment of 20% of total health)
= total health 414 x 20%
= 82.8 health per one part x 5


Note: When the Leech Ampule effect end, your health must be left at least 2 segments (Upgrade to card No.9),
otherwise you will go down.
(I have tested and don’t know why?)

The logic behind that maybe it's show that you've got the last segment of health but it's lower than you see. When the Leech Ampule effect end , then it removes that last segment and you go down.
(Not prove yet it is true or not, hope it can be fixed in the future update)

Tips:
+Use First Aid Kit or Medic Bag to recover your health back.
+Killing at least 4 enemies from 0 HP to fulfill 2 segments of health.
+Hostage Taker Skill that can heal you by having hostages. But it doesn’t work well because it cannot heal you more enough to fulfill 2 segments of health.

Any highly damage you’ve taken that can damage your health more than 82.8 will just remove one part of your health. Whereas, a slightly low damage taken below than 82.8, your one segment of health won’t lose suddenly and you also take a profit with it to heal your friend so fast.

Tips:
Similar to the Grinder perk deck but here’s you taking ''any damage'' and your friends got healed.
(5% of friend’s health).

Take a profit by using tear gas, grenade gun with incendiary round or any fire that damage you bit by bit.

Card No.3
If you lose all health, you will not go down while still activates the Leech Ampule
(you are immortal now)
but your movement speed will drop down -80% (similar to SwanSong Skill). However, if your health healing back more than 1 HP, that slow movement will be gone.


Tips:
+You have to heal back your HP to prevent from go down by using first aid kit or killing more enemies (heal back at least 2 segments of health, remember)

+Duration of using increases up to 10 seconds
+killing enemies will reduce the cooldown as well.
+You taking ‘’any damage’’ and your friends got healed. (Now it’s 10% of friend’s health).

Card No.9
If you go down before using the Leech Ampule, no worry you still be able to use it to get yourself up (similar to Messiah Skill). It gonna give you up to 50% of health and just for 10 seconds and you will go down again.

In this period of time, you can’t run away from enemies just in time but with a condition
that you must only revive your friend or use medic bag. When the Leech effect end, you will be saved from that go down again.


Of course, your HP must be left at least 2 segments of the health to survive.
However, if you don’t revive a friend or use medic bag, whether your HP still left 100%, you will go down again for sure.

Your health now divided into 10 parts
(segment of 10% of total health)

= total health 414 x 10%

= 41.4 health per one part x 10

Again, damage taken more than 41.4 will just remove one part of your health. Whereas, a slightly low damage taken below than 41.4, your one segment of health won’t lose suddenly.

Ex: Damage taken below 200 points but you just lose 41.4 HP (one segment)

However, with the new update 217.1, damage taken more than 200 points you will lose 41.4 x 2 HP (two segments instead)

In addition, some explosive can damage you a lot and lose 4 segments of health


Tips:
+Just beware when you taking continuous damage, all of your 10 segments of health will be gone so fast.

+You lose HP but you can kill enemies to gain it back. So, pick a weapon you’d like the most.

+While using the Leech Ampule, your armor will be disabled. So using Two-Piece suit should be OK.
IX.Infamy

Infamy (something like level up), you can do it once reach the level 100 (and need to spend some money).
And you will get the Roman Numeral written on next of your level.
All your skills, cash will be removed (weapons you have bought, perk decks you have upgraded still remain)

X. Profile build +Skill set
Profile build
Go into “INVENTORY”
At bottom in the middle of the screen, you can click to customize all available profiles and you also see it “in briefing” before you start the heist. There are 29 slots available+ extra 1 (can get it via achievement). From the beginning you have unlock them by offshore money.



Example: Stealth build 1 (you named it)
-Weapon: anything
-Perk Deck: "Hacker perk deck"
-Skill Set: Jack of all trade, trip mines upgrade etc.
-Melee: flashlight
-Equipment: body bag case and trip mines
-Mask: anything
-Crew management: Dallas, Bodhi, Joy and concealment boost etc.

Example: Stealth build 2 (you named it)
-Weapon: anything
-Perk Deck: "Burglar Perk Deck"
-Skill Set: Jack of all trade etc.
-Melee: weapon butt
-Equipment: body bag case and ECM device
-Mask: anything
-Crew management: Jiro, John Wick, Sydney and concealment boost etc.

You just click and get inside to change to anything you’d like for each profile.
Except for a character, you can choose only one of your main character (build 1, build 2…. but a character still be the one you’ve chosen)

Skill set
Additionally, the skill set has its own unique setup.
Build 1 has “Jack of all trade skill” and build 2 does not.
OR
Both of them use the same skill set but different weapons or equipment.

There are 15 skill sets to match with 15 profiles, all of them are separate from each other.
For example, you’ve got maximum 120 points and they don’t share, each of them got their own 120 points.

Remember, we've 5 trees (category) in the skill
Press [F] Reset this tree: if you are in Mastermind tree, means reset this tree if click
Press [R] Reset all trees: reset all 5 tress in this skill set only, won't effect other skill set.
Press [S] To switch skill set

Common things in PAYDAY 2
-Cheating:
There is no dedicated server. Your game, Your control. People said “HYOG”
(Host Your Own Game)

-MOD:
What do you expect from this? make your game a little more fun to play with. If you consider as cheat, so it is your choice.
Caution: some of the mods are considered as a cheat obviously.So, you decide it yourself.

-Connecting problem: De-sync, high latency…
Have you ever experienced that all in the team ready up but the game hasn’t start yet?
Because someone in the team isn’t fully loading. Here’s 2 choices: Kick or Wait.

-Perk Deck & Skill:
Grinder = Cheat…
Bulletstorm= Cheat…
You know that, I know that too. But DO NOT forget, it is a feature from the game itself provided for us.

-Stealth or Loud:
Carefully check all of your friend’s equipment, guns, armor before asking this question.
LOWER DETECTION RISK IS NOT ALWAYS STEALTH! And also check the tactic of heist when joining other’s lobby.

-Armor: We are doing Loud, please wearing heavier armor.
A perk deck tells us what do we need to wear for the armor.

-Infamy:
Do you know there is a function for all of us to reset all things?
OPITIONS >> ADVANCED >> RESET ACCOUNT PROGRESSION
So, we can’t completely know who is a “PRO” and “HACK or NOOB” player.
You get it, right?

-Equipment:
Carefully check yourself before joining other’s lobby. Bring a body bag case for Load mission isn’t a good idea.

-And more...
If you are a host for the game, there are ton of works for you to taking care of such as manage to kick a cheating player or you’re the last one who can die etc.

If you are NOT a host of the game, DO NOT do anything careless such as collect a keycard, a crowbar, C4. No wonder why people have been kicked because of that. Those are the things for doing objectives, if you don’t know how or what to do with them, just don’t touch any of them. Asking or looking what other’s team member are doing, would help a lot.


As mentioned earlier, it pretty hard to identify all the things happen when playing this game.
Tips for you, play this game a little more if you want to know more. Some of the things very hard to believe but you have to experience them by yourself.
