What's "Free damage" supposed to be?
Contrary to what you claim, torpedoes are one of the Imperial Navy's greatest arsenals. Melta Torpedoes especially more so.
Plasma macros don't start fires. That's just one of the effects of a critical hit. Regular macros can cause fires too. Plasma macros deal less damage and have longer range.
It's very inefficient to focus on squadrons with Imperial Navy unless you spam Exorcist GCs.
lance batteries arent great dps - low but free damage for the most part
torps suck for the most part
macro battries do damage
plasma macro do what macros do but start fires
fighters and bombers are your Friends.
the adeptus nova cannon 3 of them in one fleet can white a cluster out its not even fair. just spam the macro nova fighers dont even bother with the arch ship. same for the space marines the battle barge is okay but well. youll learn why i say dont bother with them when you lose one. you can use the battle barge to ram smaller ships but the sm fleets arent as good as the imperial navy ship is.
