All Missing DLC Without Bioware Social Network

A lot of people are having problems with DLC with the Ultimate Edition not showing up, especially with the bonus items that the game is supposed to have. In trying to find a fix I kept getting linked to the Bioware Social Network which does not exist anymore. This is a fix that unlocks all DLC for the Ultimate Edition on Steam without the Bioware Social Network.

You have to do this process first if you plan on installing mods. Installing mods writes to the addins.xml file to make the game recognize the mods and since you are replacing the .xml file you will have to reinstall the mods if you do this after installing them.

DLC Bonus Pack Items

The reason why the bonus pack items do not appear is because of a incorrect .xml file that was packaged with the Steam version of the game, but not the Origin version. To get the correct .xml do the following.

-Download the correct file here[drive.google.com] (download button is in the top right).
-Once downloaded, navigate to Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings and paste the addIns.xml file from the link in here, making sure to confirm overwriting the file that is already in the folder

Remaining DLC

Activating the remaining DLC is as easy as running some files included with the game

-Navigate to Steam/steamapps/common/Dragon Age Ultimate Edition/redist and run the following two files in the following order:
DAUServiceSetup_Steam.exe
DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam.exe

If the program gets stuck when you try to run it, try running the program with the launcher open and it should fix it. Shout out to Salted Buttery Corn for the tip.

After that next time you go into the game all the DLC should be present!

Okay, the problem is that you have to download the files for these dlc items INDIVIDUALLY from https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Downloadable_content_(Origins)#Collector's_Edition . You either install them through dazip, but if you had already followed the steps in this instruction, then you have to delete them first from your DAModder, because they show up as installed/enabled, but there are no files associated with it.

Alternatively you can manually rename all the files from "dazip" to "zip", extract them all in the same folder individually, then copy and paste the files into documents>bioware>dragon age>Addins.

The files were flagged for me as potentially harmful, so you have to override it in your browser in order to be able to download them.

then opened the game and still nothing, no DLC.

Some people already have the game on Steam and probably don't feel like buying it again on a different platform.

I'm playing all the DA series on EA, and soon the Dragon Age Dread Wolf too when release. Why go through this BS, just download the EA launcher, problem solved.

The DLC's show up for me but the only promo item that shows up is the Blood Dragon armor. Last I played the game on steam the rest of the items were there as well, so not sure how to fix it.

Sorry OB , but DLC & the various "Warrior/Rogue/Mage" Pack Items 1, II & other various items & adventures no longer work for me on DA2 or DA:O Ultimate . I have the highest "Full-Blown" packages for both DA 1 & 2 on both EA & Steam and none of the "Extras" are showing up as they are supposed to when downloading them from Steam / EA .

For me now since I had my hard drive on my computer fritz & get corupted I now only have the "Basic" dwnld of many EA games that are Older Games like DA 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and so on & so forth.

I wish I could at least make the game work with the access key DLC that Steam removed it.
