About the building:
The Lenox Brownstones occupy a small stretch of the historic South 9th Street in the Minneapolis neighborhood of Elliot Park. The group of brownstones from 519-525 South 9th Street were constructed in 1900 and are some of the last surviving examples of brownstone apartments in Minneapolis.

Elliot Park was one of the first neighborhoods and contained the city's only two parks and by the turn of the century it was a very fashionable place to live. There are two buildings that reside in Elliot park that are apart of the National Registry of Historic Places.

My poly counts and triangles got way out of hand when making this. Lots of individual small ledges make for lots of tris when unchecked.

Kind of ironic to find Minneapolis assets on the workshop these days...but this brownstone is a great look for a midwestern style city

@boc_maxima, I just checked it out. It still baffles me why Minneapolis decided to raze half of the city in the in the late 50's and 60's. Some buildings sure, but hundreds? To build what, parking lots and big square buildings? Sigh.

Beautiful. Have you checked out Lilek's blog Minneapolis: Long Gone? Documents some awesome but unfortunately nonextant buildings from downtown, history of the Gateway District. Totally fascinating.
