R.M.M.V Heremit

Beschreibung
The RMMV Heremit is a Royal Mail Motor Vehicle based off the designs of ships from the White Star Line and Cunard Line, specifically that of Titanic, Carpathia, Lusitania, and Queen Mary.

The ship is fairly stable in strong weather, however deep ocean weather may prove more of a challenge. Megalodons can potentially capsize the ship. However, flooding forward compartments can potentially re-level the ship.

When sinking via scuttle, it may take up to 20+ minutes.

WHERE TO FIND IT

- CUSTOM OIL RIG (LARGE)

FEATURES

- Maximum speed of 21 knots
- Starboard and Port Anchors
- Fully Fledged Pump System to drain floodwater
- Working Watertight Door system in the event of flooding
- Fuel Pumps to turn on/off the engine at will
- Scuttle Button
- Circuit Breaker System
- 8 Distress Flares
- Heater system to allow travel in cold climates
- Fuel connector to allow refueling at ports

TO START ENGINES

- Go to the bridge
- Press the fuel pump button
- Press the engine starter button

TO SINK

- Go to the bridge
- Look under the desk by the rear window
- Turn the key

Are you gonna remake the R.M.M.V Heremit or make the Titanic? Because these 2 ships look alike in a lot of ways and could probably take the same time to build. You might ask: why did I put Titanic in? Well, mostly all of the other ones are broken. This is just a question. But besides from all of that, good workshop item! Highly recommend this item. :steamhappy:

So I managed to buy a PC from a friend recently, and it can run Stormworks pretty well. I'll have to redownload some mods here and there and transfer some creations to my new PC, but it's definitely an opportunity to remake Heremit and other ships. I definitely need to relearn old techniques as well as how to make things like boilers.

Even though the water physics in this game has been completely broken since the Space DLC launched, I'll still give the new Heremit a scuttle feature just in case modders manage to fix the physics. :)

@Brownsched_Official: For now, yeah. Once the devs get their act together, and once I get a better computer to handle whatever it can of Stormworks, I'll attempt to come back to my old creations if not rebuild them from the ground up. I loved the Heremit and want to give it another chance at life.

Looking back at the design after 3 years, there is a lot of things I did behind untouchable areas that probably makes the creation lag a lot unnecessarily. I'm thinking of retaining as much of the exterior and some interior spots as I can, but I definitely would like to clean her out as best as I can, see if I can't lighten the load both graphically and literally.

Some of these changes will probably result in the ship flooding faster for scuttling, but in typical cases, you wouldn't flood faster than the pumps.

There is so much knowledge I've lost since I last played this proper, which sucks. But I'll see what I can do!

It's been a while. I'd definitely like to come back to this ship and see if I can't give it a good overhaul.
