@Cy Yes, PvP Watchdog, PyreProtecc, and cridus' browser extension do help, especially if a player wants to farm Embers online or engage in the multiplayer aspect of DS3. From the volume of threads on the forum about cheaters auto-injecting invalid items into legit players' inventory, I think there's still a proportion of players out there (usually during a sale) who are not aware of how to protect themselves while playing online. Farming Embers online is one way, doing so from the PvE is another way. My purpose in writing this guide is not to argue which way is better. I just want to know and test the drop rates from the PvE.

You can summon whoever you like and go worry free if you install the pvp watchdog mod. Even with it spotting hackers for me it's very rare I actually run into one.

I agree with quack, safety first. Even duping is dangerous

@Cy It might be, but the cheater problem in DS3 counterbalances that. Don't just summon anyone into your game. Check on the forum first and use a password. For those who don't like invasion, being a red phantom might not be what they want.

I feel like just placing your sign outside an easy boss or invading has got to be faster than this.
