STEP 1:

RECRUIT YOEL
LOCATION: UNDEAD SETTLEMENT , FOOT OF THE HIGH WALL BONFIRE

Here’s how you do it.Immediately after killing Vordt in the High Wall of Lothric, take the gargoyle ferry over to the undead settlement. Instead of approaching the gates and moving into the zone, take a hard left in the area where the dogs are let loose on the hapless hollows trying to get in the settlement. You hear a voice in a sea of what appears to be dead Londor pilgrims. One of them isn’t quite dead yet. His name is Yoel, and you just have to talk to him a few times to get him to go take up residence at your Firelink Shrine.

STEP 2:

GO BACK TO FIRELINK SHRINE TALK TO YOEL AND LET HIM GIVE YOU A FREE LEVEL UP
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

STEP 3:

KILL YOURSELF 8 TIMES IN A ROW

STEP 4:

LEVEL UP 4 MORE TIMES AT YOEL
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

STEP 5:

NOW YOEL DIES AND IS REPLACED BY YURIA. GO TALK TO HER
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

STEP 6:

TALK TO ANRI
LOCATION: ROAD OF SACRIFICES, HALFWAY FORTRESS BONFIRE

When you see them near the bonfire. After chatting with them, head to the Cathedral of the Deep.

STEP 7:

KILL DEACONS OF THE DEEP BOSS
LOCATION: CATHEDRAL OF THE DEEP

STEP 8:

TALK TO ANRI (AFTER KILLING DEACON OF THE DEEP BOSS)
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

Go back to Firelink and talk to the two of them again before proceeding to Farron Keep, Abyss Watchers, and the catcacombs.

STEP 9:

TALK TO ANRI (AFTER KILLING ABYSS WATCHERS BOSS)
LOCATION: ROAD OF SACRIFICES, ABYSS WATCHER BONFIRE

Inside the catacombs, find Anri before heading into the second area she will be looking for Horace. The first time you see her, tell her you haven’t seen him.

STEP 10:

TALK TO ANRI FURTHER DOWN IN THE CATACOMBS
LOCATION: CATACOMBS OF CARTHUS

Continuing through the zone, you will come upon Anri again. She still will not have found Horace. Stop right here do not proceed to High Lord Wolnir, the boss of the catacombs. Instead, break the rope suspension bridge and head down to Smouldering Lake. You can cheese the Demon boss in the way by pulling him up the steps. Once you get to the lake itself, hang a hard right hugging the wall and keep rolling to dodge the ballista bolts. You come to a small alcove here where Horace will be.

STEP 11:

KILL HORACE
LOCATION: CATACOMBS OF CARTHUS

Horace will attack you, finish him off and then port back to the catacombs bonfire.

STEP 12:

RETURN TO ANRI
LOCATION: CATACOMBS OF CARTHUS

Proceed along the path to talk to Anri again. Tell her you found Horace, he’s down in the lake. She will be happy to hear this and now you can leave and go take on the catacombs boss.

STEP 13:

TALK TO ANRI
LOCATION: TALK TO ANRI IRITHYLL OF THE BOREAL VALLEY, CHURCH OF YORSHKA BONFIRE

Now you come to the bonfire at the Church of Yorshka. Anri will be resting near the wall.

STEP 14:

KILL PONTIFF
LOCATION: IRITHYLL OF THE BOREAL VALLEY

STEP 15:

TALK TO YURIA
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

After you have slain the Pontiff boss, return to Yuria at Firelink. She will tell you that your partner is ready and the ceremony is ready to begin.

STEP 16:

MARRY ANRI
LOCATION: IRITHYLL OF THE BOREAL VALLEY, ANOR LONDO BONFIRE

STEP 17:

SPEAK TO YURIA AFTER YOU COMPTETE THE WEDDING
LOCATION: FIRELINK SHRINE

STEP 18:

KILL ENDBOSS (SOUL OF CINDER) AND USE LAST BONFIRE

Also I think that as in DS1 the most hard achieved ending (you have to know to stay away from Frampt to meet Kaathe which is not what everyone does in the first playthrough) (not really that hard to walk away from the flame lol) is not the true one, Usurpation of Fire may share the same fate (you have to do trillion things to have it). This take may be a stretch though.

I don't know if it needs a spoiler alert for those who didn't complete the game yet so here it is: spoiler alert.

I like Fire Keeper one the most, I think the game implies that it is the true ending because of Champion Gundir's location (time travel is possible in this universe, DS1 allowed you go to the past, so IMO this one may show you the future). It'd be wonderful to have the next game as really dark world literally and figuratively. Watching creatures fade or become really twisted ones due to absence of the light.

Usurpation of Fire would imply that it'd be not you who distinguished the flame, but someone else. However it's very difficult to get to Kiln of the Flame (I guess?) so there's a lot less chance for other creature to do so (not impossible though), definitely not a hollow one is capable of doing it.

what about the secret betrayal one? when you give eyes to the fire keeper ? it sounds as it counts too...

James its just my opinion mate but let me tell you why this is true ending.If you link the flame you're just delaying the inevitable,If you let the flame fade,the Darkness comes a little sooner with you at the helm.One day the Flame will fade and you just sacrifice your self like a fuel. This is why ı call this true ending.

Reminder as long as you become the Hollow Lord before getting to the Catacombs (after killing The Watchers do NOT go down the steps he's scripted to die when you go down) you can hold off becoming a raisin the entire game :)

All good; I realize if we're splitting hairs the most accurate thing would be "don't use purging stones until after Yoel is dead", since the Hollowing level *does* control when he gives you another free level, hence why dying eight times gets you all the levels needed to get the Dark Sigils from him. After he kicks the bucket and Yuria introduces herself, you're free to use all the purging stones you like
