LW2 + LWOTC in particular *still* has a *LOT* of conflicts.
Community Highlander would also wreck access to older Mods and various other flawed codes like UC-scripts, INI, UPK files ... ETC!
One solution; Use *Alternative Mod Launcher* (1.4+) to boot XCom2 which can detect and analyze plenty of flaws of conflicting mods.
AFAIC, this mod still works just fine even with 140+ active mods on my PC.
Good luck, nonetheless.
Hello, can you tell me why the task icons may not work? What could this mod potentially conflict with? Thank you very much in advance.
Don't worry, I won't use any of your assets in the process of creating my own icons, only vanilla assets. I admit right away that some will definitely try to portray very similar things because, well, they will be symbolizing the same thing, but I'll be making them from scratch, taking only the inspiration you offered, not assets.
And of course I won't use your code either - in fact, I don't need to do any code just to implement my own set of icons.
Thanks!
A) somebody else ***broke*** one major mod of mine (LAByrinth & WC version) recently to offer custom functionality in a similar process.
B) that person even ruined by modding "reputation" online in numerous ways while claiming my coding was junk.
C) Thus.. I stopped creating stuff for XCom (and also no longer play that wonderful OFFICIAL game) since some copy/cat projects are stealing "ideas/concepts" from other modders from the initial release by Firaxis.
2) None of its features are available for ANY external attempts by anyone for **XC2/Workshop distribution**. That's plagiarization of a personal code/format compiled by **ME**.
3) Do as you please and have some fun with whatever attempt at anything partial from my creative "product".
4) Refer to my mod for inspiration if you want and please note about its authentic components/assets.

The biggest challange will be seeing if I can make (or nudge someone else to make) icons for the new missions added by WOTC, though the only ones used by LWOTC right now are the crate-marking one and the rescue from compound. Hey, if you'd accept doing them yourself that'd be keep all artistic integrity of the mod and be super apprecieated! If not, I'll try.
If you don't accept, hey, it's okay, it's your mod and your assets. I'll just put my updates into a private mod and only share it with friends, always under instructions never to publish it or share it directly to communities.
And again, if you want I could just give you the updated files and you can publish it as a mod yourself - thanks to Another Mod Uploader, you don't even need to have the xcom2 sdk installed to publish a mod.
Hope you're having a nice day, and thanks for the mod!
Hey Zyx, I did get it working to show only the icons and thumnails - thanks helping me figure it out!
However, some of the config is outdated with recent LWOTC 1.1 changes. As you have stated you do not wish to release (and cannot release) an updated standalone version of just the Mission Icons, would you please give me permission to attempt to do so, using your geoscape mission type icons and thumnails?
If such a thing is possible you will obviously be given the main and biggest credit as the creator of the icons and original mod, with a link to this mod, before anyone else who assisted me. And I'd also label you as Contributor, which IIRC with recent Workshop changes would let you edit or shut down the mod yourself.
Again, I'd only need to use your mission icons nad thumbnails (and the same config to implement them, of course); I wouldn't be including any of your scripts.
Other files like "GOPS3_Bradford64", "Head_Shen" and a bunch of "implants_***Z" are maintained there too.
