Gold Filter Restoration
A plugin for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut, restoring the gold filter, post processing and shading from the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

With this plugin, you can freely choose what elements of the game’s visuals should be changed. The following options are available:
  • Color grading - enabled, disabled
  • Bloom - DC style, HR style
  • Lighting - DC style, DC style with fixes, HR style
The configuration menu also allows to freely modify color grading attributes or select from 3 presets based on the data taken directly from DXHR.
Download and Installation
  • Download the mod archive from HERE [github.com]
  • After downloading, unpack the archive to your game directory. If you don't know where your game is installed, you can navigate there from Steam by right clicking on Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut entry -> Manage -> Browse local files

After downloading, all you need to do is to extract the archive to the game’s directory and that’s it! The in-game configuration menu is accessed by pressing F11.

I can't get it to work on Windows 11, pressing F11 brings the config menu but when selecting the different options I see no difference

Do you think Mr. Deus Ex puts on the brown-filter sunglasses when he investigates Africa? Or get a yellow-er pair of glasses for his trip to mexico? I love ruining color vibrancy with filters ❤️

Just use Reshade.

Following Step 4 at this link [cookieplmonster.github.io] after unzipping the files in the game directory, the F11 key worked.
Note, the Launch Option box should be populated with
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command%

F11 now launches the config panel when using keyboard and mouse on desktop mode. I hope this helps!

@NomadJack
It hasn't worked for me on a quick try first time but I need to keep poking about.
(Running in desktop model with KB+M but config menu does not seem to be bound to F11

Will this work on Steam Deck? Just by extracting the files into the game directory?

at least after hes augmented the filter makes cannotical sense like the HUD because your seeing through the glasses which have an orange tint to them
