Let's get started
Hi there! This guide will show you, how you can remove the framecap in Fallout 76.

1. Go to the following path: C:\Users\*Your Username*\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76

2. Open "Fallout76Prefs.ini" with your preferred text-editor,

3. and search for "iPresentInterval=1"

4. Set the variable to "0" so it looks like the following: "iPresentInterval=0"

5. Save.

And that's it! Your performance should be a lot better now. Especially indoors.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the comments, or add me. :)
Black water texture fix
If your water texture seems to be black after editing the file, do the following:

1. Open "Fallout76Prefs.ini" with your preferred text-editor again,

2. and search for "bScreenSpaceReflections=0"

3. Set the variable to "1" so it looks like the following: "bScreenSpaceReflections=1"

4. Save.

And that's it! :)

If it still remains black, please add me for further troubleshooting!! :)
Additional infos
If you encounter any other problems after applying this fix, please try limiting your FPS to a max 144FPS in your GPUs driver or MSI Afterburner (or Program of choice) :)

xX10, that is one stupid piece of advice...

You should not limit your fps, not even via nvidia or amd software...that software is even worse and more unstable than bethesda games.
Also, turn off enlighten to gain even more fps.

Does anyone know if this causes the "failed to download config from title storage" error message?

What worked for me on fallout 4 was setting my screen refresh rate to 60Hz rather than 144Hz. don't remember if I changed iPresentinterval value for that game though.

Thanks for letting us know which specs you have!! so awesome!

For some people the framerate is locked to 55fps regardless of their computer specs...
