Serenade.exe

Description
Playable Serenade from Battle Network 3, complete with a custom artifact and base spell.

Version History:
1.1.3 - Current
-------
-Added a duration timer to the cast of Mirror Cloak to increase the visibility of the counter window
-Nerfed the counter window from 3 seconds to 1 second to compensate for the increased visibility of the counter window Figured out how to set the timer to 0.3 seconds on the counter activation. Timing is now a lot less forgiving, but it encourages quick reaction time, which was always the intended function. I've set the mana cost to 0 to compensate for the decreased leniency in timing the counter.
-Updated the loadout to have a more offensive starting focus. Should help with earlygame shopkeeper runs as well as saving hostages
-Fixed the Artifact's reflect so that it now correctly damages structures and hostages. The original Piercing effect still applies, however.

1.1.2
-------
-Fixed a bug that was preventing the player from gaining shield on countering a hit
-Updated the Sprite sheet

1.1.1
-------
-Increased rarity of Mirror Cloak to 3
-Decreased Rarity of Shine In The Dark to 3
-Added missing flavour text to Mirror Cloak
-Updated Descriptions of both Shine In The Dark and Mirror Cloak

1.1.0
-------
-Removed Shine and Corset from starting loadout. Replaced with Energizer and Counter Strike
-Nerfed Damage scaling of Shine In The Dark. Stacking Shields to do 1000 damage multibursts for completely free is now impossible without a highly specialised build

1.0.1
-------
-Changed starting loadout to include Shine and Corset
-Fixed Kinetic Shield stopping Mirror Cloak from proccing properly.
-Buffed Shield gain on Mirror Cloak from 40 to 80
-Buffed Damage scaling of Shine In The Dark to use Shield instead of a flat damage value

1.0.0
-------
Initial release

I've never tried making bosses before so you might be better suggesting that idea to somebody like Sunreal. I might do something with alphabugs if I can be bothered to, can't make any promises though. I had some OC I was working on ages ago but I shelved it because I had no idea how to implement the concept, might go back to that first.

@ChakraDarrat It's been a hot minute since I've played this game so I genuinely don't know. I don't think enough has changed about the core game that it would stop working, though.

Updated the mod based on the original feedback.

I can definitely mess around with the loadout and give Serenade more low cost damage options as starting options, I noticed that the first stage is always a bit too slow, and you often don't have the right kit to be able to save a good third of the hostages you encounter. I did want to theme Serenade's Spells around Glimmer and Phalanx, though, so I'll have to go over the spells list and see if there's anything that works that isn't too busted. If you have any suggestion, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks again for taking the time to post your thoughts, glad you're enjoying the mod!

I can always lower the damage modifier I have on it from 30% of your shield to around 20% if it feels too powerful, the problem is that if it gets any weaker than 20% of your shield then it starts becoming something that's not worth risking getting hit for as the end damage ends up being too low to justify standing in front of an enemy and risk getting hit for, especially past HM7. That, and there needs to be a justifiable reason for why you'd actively want to avoid getting flawless battles given that you sacrifice a better drop rate in order to use the artifact's reflect functionality. It's a fine line, so I'm keen to get it right.

@Mr-Erbif Thanks for the feedback, mate. Really appreciate it. I'll see if I can implement the cooldown timer as a custom animation, not sure exactly how but I can probably ask for tips.

I think the final cutscene with terrable might require an extra .lua script to work properly in order to to get the animation to play properly, I'll see what I can do to get it working, but if it's just a quirk of playing a modded character then I'm not sue if I'll be able to fix that.

the reflect damage is meant to pierce structures as it acts like serenade's shockwave from BN3, what I can do to make it work better is have it actually do damage to structures so that if you want to save hostages you need to think about where you're placed on the screen at any one time.
