[EN]　Creating your own custom lobby

First we have to make our own lobby. From the main menu of multiplayer go to Events -> Online -> Online Custom Event -> Create Game. Then choose whether or not you want to allow use of DLC within your lobby.

[EN]　Setting the lobby visibility

Once you begin creating the lobby, go to Advanced Options and change the Session Visibility to Closed.

[EN]　Invite your friends and have fun

Now just invite your friends into the lobby and have fun playing without those pesky randoms joining into your session!

Zuerst müssen wir unsere eigene Lobby machen. Gehen Sie im Hauptmenü des Mehrspielermodus zu Events -> Online -> Benutzerdefiniertes Online-Event -> Spiel Erstellen. Wählen Sie dann aus, ob Sie die Verwendung von DLC in Ihrer Lobby zulassen möchten oder nicht.

Per prima cosa dobbiamo creare la nostra lobby. Dal menu principale del multiplayer vai su Eventi -> Online -> Evento personalizzato online -> Crea partita. Quindi scegliere se si desidera consentire l'uso del DLC nella propria lobby.

Dopo aver iniziato a creare la lobby, vai su Opzioni avanzate e cambia la Visibilità della sessione in Chiusa.

[IT]　Invita i tuoi amici e divertiti

Ora invita i tuoi amici nella hall e divertiti a giocare senza quei fastidiosi randoms che si uniscono alla tua sessione!

Nous devons d'abord créer notre propre lobby. Dans le menu principal du multijoueur, accédez à Épreuves -> En ligne -> Épreuve en ligne personnalisé -> Créer partie. Choisissez ensuite d'autoriser ou non l'utilisation du contenu téléchargeable dans votre lobby.

Une fois que vous avez commencé à créer le lobby, accédez aux Options avancées et définissez la visibilité de la session sur Fermé.

Maintenant, invitez simplement vos amis dans le hall et amusez-vous à jouer sans que ces aléas embêtants se joignent à votre session!

Primero tenemos que hacer nuestro propio lobby. Desde el menú principal del modo multijugador, vaya a Pruebas -> En línea -> Prueba a medida en línea -> Crear partida. Luego, elija si desea o no permitir el uso de DLC dentro de su lobby.

Una vez que comience a crear el lobby, vaya a Opciones avanzadas y cambie la Visibilidad de sesión a Cerrada.

¡Ahora solo invita a tus amigos al lobby y diviértete jugando sin que esos molestos randoms se unan a tu sesión!

Najpierw musimy stworzyć własne lobby. Z menu głównego gry wieloosobowej wybierz Zawody -> Online -> Siecowe zawody własne -> Stwórz grę. Następnie wybierz, czy chcesz zezwolić na korzystanie z DLC w lobby.

Po rozpoczęciu tworzenia lobby przejdź do Opcji zaawansowanych i zmień Sesji na Zamkniętu.

Teraz po prostu zaproś znajomych do lobby i baw się dobrze bez tych nieznośnych randek dołączających do twojej sesji!

my friendgroup always accepts randoms because we never have full lobby. but man that session visibility option is starting to be enticing with the amount of cheaters that we get. and we can't even ban them from our session because they always leave as soon as the race is over

No need to apologize, it isn't your fault or anything, silly. ;)
Like I said, I still do find playing the single player and at least the global challenges still fun, but yeah, normal online with pubs is impossible most of the times. Actually recently I tried it again only to also now find modders ruining the lobbies by zooming or teleporting even through the track. So frankly, that online play is beyond salvagable at this point - Only good to play with like friends only. On the bright side, this guide can actually help anyone make a friends only lobby to prevent any script kiddies joining in middle of the game only to ruin it.

tl;dr public online lobbies completely suck now, especially thanks to hacks, anything else is still fun and hopefully this guide helps anyone keep away modders from their lobbies

I'm really sorry it's like that in this game, with 355 hours that I have and even uninstalled the game I want to keep playing it. It is frustrating that the majority is like this and it is worse since we are less than 300 players worldwide most of the time.

Exactly that was my motive behind this guide. Though by now I almost fully gave up on playing online races with exception of global challenges.

It could be said that this guide is created with pain on the part of this guy because I feel that he is being kick out or banned just for joining a lobby that "supposedly" is for friends only
