I dont freaking care about changelogs get out please !!
What ? You dont like changelogs ? Its one of the more exiting things to read when its a update and you're bored when it is updating , you just simply click in the '' View News '' and BAM ! There ya go , you now know a bunch of things , but terraria changelogs sometimes are tricky , they sometimes do mistery stuff , like what happened to the Wizard Hat , wich was announced in a changelog as " There is a new rare item , go find it ! "

Mechanics and Gameplay:

- The content of presents have been altered and now contain more goodies. They are also now placeable and stack in your inventory.

- Santa Claus now has a larger variety of Holiday related items that he will sell to you.
Frostmoon is a new event that can be triggered in hardmode. It has 15 standard waves as well as 5 extra bonus waves.

- There are several new pets and a 1 new mount that will drop off one of the Frostmoon bosses.

-Holiday themed wallpaper can now be purchased from the Painter .

-Maximum player buff slots has been increased to 22. ( This is actually very helpfull ! )

New Music:

-There is now an alternate to the underground theme.

-There is a new track that will play during the Frostmoon.

Bug fixes:

-Recording Pumpkin song no longer creates an Ankh.

-NPCs now go to shelter during eclipses.

-World gen no longer saves broken chest slots.

-Increased the damage bonus of stealthing in Shroomite armor.

-Items which regenerate health per hit now have a cap of 2 hearts per second.
Flame traps will no longer trigger healing from Spectre Armor.

As you guys been expecting , there wasn't a single boss called " Santank " , it was actually a Mini-boss from the " Main boss " called Frostmoon .
It name is actually Santa-NK1 , but , when you reach wave 15 , the wave displayer says " Santank ", I guess that's a devoloper's error , because , as seen in the wave displayer , it first says Elf Copter , and then , Elf Helecopter .






Another thing is the festive trees , oh yes , they make me so happy , because most of the parts of my house , there's one ! ( Or atleast in all the gardens ) They're so funny to decorate , they are a good light source at night , they have their own Fallen Star , so its very awesome .
Santa Claus sells them , he will move in if you defeat the Frost Legion , wich I'll talk later , if there's house to him , and he got plenty o' decorations , so you might want to check that out !

The presents are this year stars , appart from Frost Moon of course . They give you such random items that can be awesome or not ! They're also placeable now !

The frost legion is one of the most annoying bosses I've seen !
It got it own weapons , wich can knockback you around if you dont got the cobalt shield ( or higher ) , got the Mr.Stabby wich damages alot if you're not ready , and , the most stupid of all , is that it will no let you spawn ANY more monster that you want ! Imagine that you spawn them for fun , but you're too tired to kill them , so you prepare your loadout to go out and fight a Pumpkin moon , well , good luck finding a Pumpkin Moon monster , this happens ( I'm not sure ) because there's a limit of monsters in the map , and they're always spawning and de-spawning so it will also lag if your computer is not that good .






As seen in this image , there's the Explosive Snowman , wich was not added because it would explode the player's world when he dies ( or where he was standing on , it would cause around ~16 tiles explosion )

Recently they said that the Frost legion would be back , but with a new friend , I actually thought it was this one , so the first thing I did was to imediatly backup my world 5 times ...
I've spawned them plenty of times , but I've seen no difference , so if you guys know it , tell me down in the comments :D

You can obtain the frost legion by simply opening presents , wich I already talked about , you have a 7.39 ( I guess ) change to drop the Snow Globe , wich is the item that spawns them , and please , be ready for the pacient you gotta have to defeat these snowmen !

What is this ? A moon that I made with ice on the sky ? I moon that will be throwing ice at me ? WILL IT BE THE SKY FULL OF ICE AND WON'T LET ME BREATH ?!

Worst my friend .

Its one of the most hard things to complete in terraria !

Well , lets start off with some basic info :

This is a event that only occurs on the night , so if you try to spawn them in day-time , it will not work , I advice you to take a Grandfather's clock to your arena , and note this on your little brain :
7:30 - Night time , spawn them ASAP ( as soon as possible ) Time is precious in this kind of stuff .
4:30 - Dawn , they'll be gone , frogot it , you'll need a new strategy if you didn't completed it ..

It is spawned with the Naughty Present , wich is made out of 20 Silk , 5 Ectoplasm and 5 Souls of fright ( Dropped by Skeletron Prime )
I've been reading some discussions on the terraria section , and realized that the silk is the hardest part to get on this recipe , since everyone ( me too ) thinks silk / cobweb will never be needed , maybe the devoloper's knew that , so they added a function to it besides doing fancy shmancy clothes .


Its incredibly needed to make a arena ( can include traps or not ) if don't have any traps or your afraid to die super quickly in the Lizardh temple , then do a totally plain one , and get a Shadow Beam Staff / Hit Ray , this will help to get the minions ( Elf zombies , elf archers , etc ) out on the first rounds , just like this arena down here :


How about talking a bit of the monsters on it ?

Ok , lets go

I'm going to order them in the order of appearence .

GingerBread
They have 750 HP
They will just charge to you , dont have any ranged attacks and wil drop nothing but coins ( Or keys molds if very lucky )







Elf zombies
They got 600 HP
They will just charge at you , doing the same as the GingerBread , dont any ranged attacks and drop coins .







Elf archers
They have 900 HP , they seem like a female Elf , by looking and their long hair
They will stay behind and shoot you with flaming arrows , much likly the Skeleton Archer , they also inflict the On Fire! debuff . They drop nothing but coins






Nutcracker
They have 1800 HP , a very high defense and teeth that will not let your arm in your body
They will charge at you , spinning around like a tornado and trying to kill you so hard that you'll be freaking out when you wish that they didn't exist . Drop nothing but coins











Elf Copter / Helicopter
These guys right here got a pretty good HP for a flying piece of metal , 1200 HP , easy to take down , annoying as crap , can kill you hardly , but they'll be trying to .
They will fly right on top of you , shooting bullets and taking out your life without you noticing . Drop nothing but coins







Everscream
Ho-ho-ho says the evil Santa Claus while you are diying to this huge , 13000 healthed beast that shoots needles , oh my dear god . It is also the first Mini-Boss you will see in the Frost Moon .
This is a reskin of the Mourning Wood , one of the Mini-bosses of the Pumpkin Moon , same attack patterns but instead of Fire Projectiles he uses Pine needles .






Drops Lots of stuff , like :

Christmas Tree Sword
Does less 2 damage than the Horseman's Blade , and throws festive ornaments to where your crossair's at .

Christmas Hook
Its basicly a reskin of the Spooky Hook

Christmas Wings
Its a reskin of Spooky Wings / Tarttered Fairy Wings , can fly 182 ft. and are super duper christmas themed !

Razorpine
2nd best weapon for this type of event , its a incredibly fast-shooting cast that will shoot pine needles that do 70-90 damage and only costing 3 mana ( When you spam it its alot of freakin' damage ) Its possibly a reskin of the Bat Scepter , but this weapon won't be homing for your enemies , you have to actually aim , wich is a ... bad thing to new players maybe ?

Everscream Trophy
Everyone knows what a trophy is , I guess ?






Krampus
With a incredible high health , these guys can beat you pretty quickly , 2500 HP isn't that hard to take down , unless you have a good gear
There's actually a story beneath this , most of you probably dont know , but this is the Anti-Santa of the Christmas. He'll just charge into you like a guy who's asking to die .
He is one of the most terrible things you'll have to fight , so get ready ! Drop nothing but coins






Santa-NK1
Oh boy , you'll be surprised with this guy's drops .
With and incredibly high health , 18000HP Actually , this guy is tank o' war , he is the most awaited boss from this update , turns out he's just a weaky guy .
This guy will have 3 main attacks :
Pull out his ' Chaingun ' and start shooting you dealing high damage
Sending lots of presents flying dealing 70-100 damage
And finally shooting a barriage of rockets at you , and that will hurt ... alot !
He drops 3 items that are ... PRETTY AWESOME !







Chaingun
I bet you'd like to have a super high rate of fire weapon on terraria , well , you got it . This weapon chews ammo like a hungry human on a McDonald's restaurant , but , it has a pro , it will have a 50% of not using ammo , just like the ol' Megashark , so its a instant upgrade , since it has the same stats , higher rate of fire and more damage !
It also seems to have recoil since the weapon shakes when you're firing it .

Elf Melter
Its a upgraded flamethrower , with around +15 damage , its pretty good , but I never liked flamethrower since when I pick up gel I imediatly throw it away or trash it .


Santa-NK1 Trophy
Everyone knows what a trophy is , I guess ?






Yeti
Personally , I think this is the MOST ANNOYING of all the time monster in Frost Moon , because he has a toon of hp , 3500 , he will be spawning like if there's something for the whole family of Yetis and he is the one that you'll probably pay less attention , so he will be stacking right by your side .
He also won't leave when its dawn . Drops nothing but coins







Flocko
Its the rarest enemy you'll be seeing in the Frost Moon event , with 900 HP , he will be flying at high speeds against you , making him a hard-to-kill monster , he also brings bad news , its time to start fearing the big queen of the field ...
Drops nothing but coins

You know what ? Queens are the one thing that never takes power over a kingdom until the king is dead , so , this queen's king is dead ! She's more powerfull then never , and wants revenge on her king's death , Pumpking .
These 2 actually seem to have a connection , how can I explain it ? Pumpking , Ice queen , got it ?
Well , moving on .

Ice Queen
Ooooh boy , fear this gigant flying , half-naked ice statue with life ! She's the queen of the Ice Kingdom ! She has 3 attack patterns :
Flying towards you and shooting Ice waves that will give you the Frozen Debuff for 1 sec ( Luckly ) and the Chill debuff , wich will decrease your speed .
Spinning around and shooting ice projectiles at your super fast ! Its the easiest mode for killing her with her own weapon ( Blizzard Staff , wich I'll talk next ) .
Finally , she just flees over you begging for death .


She got the most amazing drops ever seen in this event !

Blizzard Staff
This thing ... I can't even describe it , its so op that ... maybe you can kill literaly any boss with it , it summons falling pieces of ice that won't pierce through enemies , but definitly will hurt the one who's being attacked .
Unluckly it only summons around 15 pieces of ice , but it already does a respectable damage of 100-150 with the best mage gear .

North Pole
This is a spear that will shoot a projectile wich lets a trail of snowflakes behind it , wich will later become falling snowfalkes and do around 60 damage , so it is a pretty good melee weapon !

Snowman Cannon
This is basicly a homing missiles rocket launcher , that the rockets also have the skin of a snowman's head

Reeinder Bells
This is a pet-summoner , I still never saw it , but the name suggests it is the new mount pet , it will be super cool to have it , I'm sure

Some more pets
It drops a few more pets , like the Baby Grinch , wich I dropped in my 3rd Ice queen ( Lucky ! )

Ice Queen Trophy
Everyone knows what a trophy is , I guess ?

Well , lets talk about the sets , wich are the more important thing on this whole guide .

Mage set :

Melee ( If you want , replace with another cast ) : Horseman's blade , North Pole , Vampire Knives , Paladin's Hammer











Magic Items :
Recommended : Bat Scepter , Razorpine , Heat Ray , Blizzard Staff , Nimbus Rod , Inferno Fork ( Rest at your choice )











Acessories :
Star Veil / Cross Necklace
Its good to block damage and if with the Star Veil , it will do more damage that will definitly help .

Sorcerer Emblem
More damage in your magic attacks

Destroyer Emblem
More damage in your attacks ( not only magic ) and more critical chance

Avenger Emblem
More damage in your attacks ( not only magic )

Mana Flower
Less mana consumed in any attack that uses mana and uses mana potions automaticly

I recommend using the Menacing prefix for all or maybe the Warding if you're not sure you are a Pro at dodging .











Armor :
Spectre Set
It's good to have a magic armor like this around , since it regens your health ( or the health of the player with less HP ) when you damage something with magic items .











Warrior set :

Melee Weapons : A sword with +100 Damage , Paladin's hammer , Vampire Knives , a Spear and obviously a ranged weapon ( recommended : Megashark / Chain gun ) with Chlorophyte Bullets / Explosive bullets .











Armor :

Turtle Set :
Good because the damage that they inflict to you will get back to them , so I recommend using it because of the high defense and the set bonus .

Chrolophyte Armor
Good because of high defense and the set bonus with that little " leaf crystal " that throws leafs that do around 20-40 damage , so it's pretty good too .











Acessories :

Warrior Emblem
More damage on your melee attacks

Destroyer Emblem
More Damage on your attacks ( not only melee ) and more critical chance

Avenger Emblem
More Damage on your attacks ( not only melee )

Celestial Stone / Star Veil
Good for the buffs it gives to you , more armor , more attack , etc ..
Stars fall for more damage and you have more lenght of invicibility

Any wings for quick escapes when you're " stuck " and loosing tons of HP











I recommend having the Menacing prefix or the Warding prefix so you dont take almost no damage
