C.S.S Rhino - 1864

The Rhino is a *fictional* Blockade Runner which served with the confederacy to deliver supplies. She started her carrier off as the Emerald, a 1859 Clyde built paddle steamer which delivered cargo between England and Canada. As her owners filed for bankruptcy, back hand deals and loop holes of neutrality led to her into confederate hands. She then starts running the blockade, dodging shells and deceiving the Union 26 times. Her fate is mysterious, it's said that she encountered a Union Monitor on a misty August night and a small skirmish began. It's speculated that she might of sank then and there due to gunfire, but other theories of her running aground are brought into play due to her constant distress calls and flares after escaping.

Lighting boilers: To start her engines you must go into the Paddle room, located forward of the bridge. From there you should be able to see the button titled "Light Boilers" which you press, and then make your way up to the helm. To move Forward you hold 'W' and for reverse you hold 'S' .

Brand new distress system: To send out an distress signal, press #6 on the helm or the button behind you titled "Emergency distress". This should send out a signal that could be picked of by vehicles with the new distress system update. To send out a physical distress, launch one of the three flares on either side of the ship.


Cargo: Using the cargo doors and boom consist of the control panel at the front of each of two mast on the ship. From there you can utilize the throttles and buttons to control the movement of the boom. (All of the throttles and buttons are properly titled) From there you can open the cargo doors using their own throttle button. It's recommended that you use cranes from the port you are docked in to help carry loads.

Helm and control: At the bridge the helm is used for steering of the ship, as well as lights, Anchors, and Emergency distress system. She handles pretty well in rough weather, although she is known to sometimes flip over during tsunamis. Steering is also a note of worthy praise due to her tight turns.

Life Boats: To launch life boats just use the throttle to control the davits. Warning: Launch life boats from inside the boat. The life boats 2 magnets have the tendency to stick together with each other if both launched from the ship.
