Animated canvasses (Sprites)

Animated sprites on canvasses

I noticed there were a few people who aren't familiar in how to create animated canvasses using sprite sheets. After explaining it seems people often are confused what they need to do at EZGif to do the conversion.

For that I have created a tool to help those out, even with the ability to be hosted as well. Animation to Sprite conversion[tu-spriteconv.cutebooru.com]

Uploading a gif
When you go to Animation to Sprite conversion[tu-spriteconv.cutebooru.com], you can upload your GIF file by clicking or dragging a file on the "Drag 'n Drop or click here to select"

It can happen that a GIF doesn't have a good amount of frames, causing it to become one long image with 1 column. To avoid this, make sure that "Attempt to avoid 1 column images.", this will remove the last frame when the animation is indeed only 1 column big.

Make sure that you agree to the ToS[tu-spriteconv.cutebooru.com], TLDR; Just don't post illegal stuff and the likely hood that an image is getting removed is very small.

When everything is correct, click on "convert!"
Converting the gif into a spritesheet
This process is automatic, and it will pop out the result.

At the left, it will show you the image, you can right-click this and save it. And at the right it will display more information and a link if you want to grab it directly from the website and leave it here.

Click on the Copy button to copy the link and make a note of the rows and columns.
The steps are also pointed out on the site:

Step one:

Edit a canvas by right clicking on the canvas:

Step two:

Paste the link at the URL field, turn spritesheet to on and fill in the values given on the site.

And you are done!
Disclaimer
As I own the site, I'd like to give some extra notes.

I do not care if it is NSFW, or SFW content you upload. As long as it does not violate any laws, it should be fine.

While I cannot say right now if the current space is enough, however if I run out of space, images that haven't been loaded in a while will be removed from the site. (unless the space is upgraded in the future, this action will be delayed).

Next to that, WebM conversions are on my todo list. This requires a different approach so it might take a bit. You will see on the site when it accepts WebM.

Getting 1 frame back instead of spritesheet?
Please let me know, eventually a source so I can take a look into the issue.

The URL refuses to load, not sure if this site is down or not.

once the bar fills, it disappears after about 30 seconds. this only seems to happen with high frame counts, like 180.

It depends on several things, if it is too large, it should tell you. Probably it is a timeout. How long does it take before this happens?

sometimes after that loading bar finishes, instead of showing the spritesheet, the bar disappears and nothing happens? does that mean the gif is too large?

A small 'fix', I excluded gifs with 2, 3, 5 and 7 from the option 'Attempt to avoid 1 column images. (may remove 1 frame).' as these are relatively small it will make a one column sprite sheet.
