So I just wanted to add that it may be a good idea to integrate shelters as a strategy of population control by using them to control basic pop but keeping a count of houses dropped so you know if theres a potential to over populate. So if you know you can only support a pop of 100, if houses house 2 kids than dont place more than 50 or so homes.
It's kinda dark but planned homelessness helps to. surprisingly homeless doesnt have as much of a negative effect that you'd think it would and its a great way to maintain a desired pop if things get too cluttered and chaotic to start laying shelters everywhere.
When they have arrived there should be an icon that looks like a walkie-talkie at the top of the screen, click on it and it should take you to them. Have you tried clinking on the Expedition Station. It has been a while since I have played.
I updated the guide for a new civilisation update which was released on 27/08/2020 but the livestock update which I think introduced pastures was released on the 30/11/2020.
