Anom's Alarms - Vol. 1: Alien Isolation

A set of three alarms from the game Alien Isolation, available for crafting from the Alarm Assembly Station!

After a total of nine months of attempting to get this mod to function, it's finally arrived. Using a custom script created by Nebulox, with editing done by Mylie, we've managed to make a set of alarms that loop perfectly and endlessly. It was shockingly difficult to figure out, as the vanilla alarm script was not meant for a continuous, looping sound. Check out the video for a demonstration of the alarms, and I hope you enjoy the mod.

I am personally not fully educated in Lua, so I cannot describe how the script precisely functions. I can, however, inform you that the light interval is handled in the object file through the "lightWaveTime" parameter, the sound file is handled in the animation file, and the light color can be set in the lua file. It is possible the light color can also be set in the object file, but I have yet to test that myself.

Unfortunately, this script is not completely perfect. At zooms above level 4, the sound will no longer loop if the area is left and then re-entered. This seems to be an unfixable issue, so I hope nobody is playing at zoom level 4. Leaving and re-entering the game will also cause any active alarms to stop producing sound. This can be fixed by either leaving the area and returning, or switching the alarm off and on again.
