SSStylish Gameplay Guide

I know right, who makes a gameplay guide for a demo? My question to you is why are you reading one?

Anyways, that aside, there a few interesting things you can do in this game, and this is just to show you how to do them and get you that Smokin' Sexy Style.

Knife Moveset
Hold any direction = basic stab

Neutral = Jill takes a step forward and stabs

"Flick" Back = stab left side of enemy then step back (if you space it out correctly you can avoid the grab, even while they're up)

Counter = aim after a perfect dodge

Interrupting the Lunge

Wait for the zombie's arms to start coming up (lunge start up) then input the Back Step.

This worked 100% percent of the time for me (if I timed it correctly).
Dodge Cancel
You can cancel the recovery of a perfect dodge by having a gun equipped and switching to the knife mid-dodge and performing a knife counter (<-- the animation for this wont play and you can just start running again).

This only saves you around 20 frames, which is not that useful, unless you're speedrunning I guess.

This doesn't work vice versa (knife to gun) it'll just put you into bullet time.
Knife Counter Cancel

Switch Weapons to cancel the counter at any point in the animation.

This one is interesting because the counter hits 3 times, legs, chest, then head. I'm pretty sure that, just like in RE2, the amount of damage you do is on a per hit basis, so for max damage you want to cancel it when the knife hits the head. It also doesn't seem stun zombies if you cancel on the first hit (which is on the leg), the second hit (chest) does though, this'll usually give you a few frames to get an extra hit in.

Doing this gives you 1-3 extra hits with the pistol or knife (I'm pretty sure you can get 2 hits without the cancel) before the zombie can lunge again, depending on your cancel timing and if you stun after the cancel with a headshot.
This is the part where I beg for clout...
I put a moderate amount of effort making these just to show what's possible in the demo (hopefully more in the full game). I'm sure I probably missed something, I didn't expect this game of all this to be this complex and deep. Anyways I'd like to hear your thoughts and if any of this is at all useful to you.

honestly if you wanna play re I recommend staring with RE1 or 2 remake or even 7 since 8 is coming out. RE is kind of anthology series that are loosely related to each other.

I have a week to practice these stylish moves, I didn't realize how advanced the system was relative to RE2
