Those darned space monkeys are at it again! If Ape Escape was a first person shooter...then Serious Escape is probably how it'd be like. Serious Escape is a fan modification that seeks to recreate the gameplay of classic Ape Escape games in Serious Sam. That means catching (aka killing!) a set of monkeys per level, all the way to a final showdown with the leader of the pipo monkeys, Specter!

There are still some monkeys missing in the depths of time and the Professor has asked the help of his old colleague, Serious Sam in destroying the remaining monkeys and preventing them from altering the future. Powered by Timelock-infused "Time Station" technology, Sam is sent to the past once more to rid the world of monkeys.

This mod also comes with a large set of new versus maps (over 8 new VS maps!!) and content! All the new content is added to the game as is, nothing is replaced, so the mod works just as well with everything else.

* A campaign with 5 levels from different time periods, including a final boss fight versus Specter!

* Time Station hub level that connects all the levels together

* Vastly different gameplay from typical Serious Sam maps; find and kill a set of pre-existing monkeys per level to advance rather than fighting hordes of enemies

* Custom designed enemies and advanced enemy behavior: monkeys have different behavior depending on the pants they wear, some of them are cowards, others reckless, fast runners, and so on. Some of them even ride dinosaurs and fly on UFOs!

* 8 new VERSUS maps plus a CTF map, as well as new player models!

* Custom soundtrack with Originape remixes of the games' musics

* Monkey related humour. If you couldn't believe.
