The PGI-X Beam Cannon
Capable of tearing through grids at a large range with a huge bolt of plasma, this new superweapon is sure to pack a punch on your cruisers and capitals!

Requires 4 large reactors at full power for 5 (now 1!) minutes just to charge this weapon to fire-ready!

Grid limit: 1 per grid (subgrids included)
Max power draw: 1200MW
Required charge 100MWh (displayed as 360000MW in terminal)
Damage: 1,000,000 over 25m radius
Travel speed: 2000 m/s

Superconductor x 3000
Computer x 3500
Bulletproof glass x 100
Beam cannon research x 10 (custom component, comes with mod)

Beam cannon research component requires Platinum x 100, Gold x 200, 50 x Silver, 100 x Iron

Known issues[/h2]
Gun takes 10 minutes to charge in creative as well as survival. I'd like to mitigate this by creating a laser with a very small charge time for creative as a seperate mod.

Values subject to change. Model will eventually be updated. Please leave feedback! This weapon probably isn't a good idea to build in survival, but you can do it anyway. Building the beam cannon will require a special new component named "Beam Cannon Research" accessable in the assembler. The cannon requires 10 of these and a whole load of steel plates - about 25 thousand of them. Good luck.

Same here what JEDIbrc16 said, It only damaged in one axis depending on the block it hit.
everything else seems to work just fine

Why can't I use this mod in the game. It can be found in the menu but cannot be used and there is no skin

Has anyone noticed that the cannon now just cuts a slice out of the ship instead of an explosion breaking the blocks around the point of impact or the laser going through

i love how this works really well, only one thing tho...

can we place more then 1? cause the beam dont pack enough punch for just using one
