Hope this guide can help you check your progress on chests and for the achievement.

If you play the game for the first time, be wary of SPOILERS regarding the location of puzzles and NPCs.

I wrote this guide using the info in the Forager wiki. If you find a mistake, let me know and I'll fix it.


WARNING ahead. If you use the Obliterator on certain puzzle elements, you will NOT be able to get all of the chests anymore. So it's advised using it cautiously or after you opened all of the chests.

There are a total of 46 big chests in the game. Small ones do not count towards the achievement!


You can get

(9) from completing museum bundles (one for each completed bundle + one for the completion of all bundles, you will get this one after you talk to the museum curator)


(10) from completing quests:

Grass biome (1 in total): 1 from the Druid (the man with the green cape)

Graveyard biome (2 in total): 1 from the Jester and 1 from the Goblin

Desert biome (2 in total): 1 from Princess Ana and the other 1 from the old man with the chicken
Winter biome (3 in total): 1 from Foxmage, 1 from Wizrob, and 1 from the Ghost
Fire biome (2 in total): 1 from the Engineer and 1 from the Wizard.


(8) from dungeons:

- 2 (blue ones) in the Skull Maze
- 2 (blue ones) in the Ancient Tomb in the desert biome

- 2 in the Crystal Cave dungeon
- 2 in the Fire Temple dungeon.



(4) from solving galaxy puzzles (fire, ancient, frozen and skull),



and (15) from solving puzzles or just standing there in open-world areas. Locations will be explained below.


In the grass biome:

1. can be found buying a plot of land, which will be the form of a small island

In the desert biome:

8. guarded by four laser-shooting robo-things, kill them and the chest is yours.

In the graveyard biome:

11. solving the Colored Pedestals puzzle


In the winter biome:

12. solving the Stone Princess puzzle
13. unfreezing the frozen Big Chest












You will need the fire wand to unfreeze this. It can be obtained in the Fire Temple dungeon. You can also throw bombs at it. (thanks to mr rodgers rodgers for the hint!)


In the fire biome:

14. solving the Coded Switches puzzle (those 12 that are arranged like on a clock)
15. solving the puzzle where you have to turn all the lights out.
