Abu Simbel

Mô tả
The Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples in Abu Simbel in Nubia, southern Egypt, carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BCE, as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh. The complex was relocated in its entirety in 1968, onto an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir. The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River.

Abu Simbel unlocks with Writing and contains 2 slots for Great Works of Art. +2 Production for Great Works housed in Abu Simbel and +1 Production for every other Great Work in the city.

This item is no longer in your wonders pack.

I'm liking how this looks quite a bit, and I'mma test it out >:D, but I do agree with Sushi that it should probably have a theming bonus. Early tourism is hard to come by and the earlier you can start chipping away at people the better, especially where multiplayer is concerned.

I'll also have to test out what Ishipp said, but if only art is being buffed that should probably be fixed -- the wonder is a lot less powerful without the buff to all great works. Either way it is an AWESOME concept, though. :D

was it your intention that only great works of art are affected? I'm seeing the effects whether I put my great work of art in my palace or the Abu Simbel wonder (and I'm seeing the production change in my capital when I move my great work of art back and forth). But there does not seem to be any effect on the great work of music that's also in my cpaital city.

BTW, nice concept. wonderful artwork on the wonder splash.

It's not too powerful, and beyond that theming bonuses are always on mutli-slot buildings. To break that rule just seems out of place. Up to you though. It's your mod, and anyone like me can just add that themselves anyway. Again, thank you for making this. I'm not trying to criticize a bunch.

I felt it was already fairly powerful without the theming bonus.

This is great, but I am confused by why there isn't a theming bonus on it. Every other building that has multiple great work slots has a theming bonus. I've gone ahead and added a +2 theming bonus that requires 2 artifacts from the same civilization. I figured it made good sense for it to be artifacts only, not art.

This is quite unique and I really appreciate the work you put into it, but a theming bonus should be added.

Love this mod. Don't change a thing with it. It is a good trade off for not building the library.
