[WOTC] More Dark Events Spawn Each Month

Description
This mod increases the number of Dark Events that spawn each month from:
  • 2 => 3 in the first month
  • 3 => 4 starting in the second month
So if you want more Dark Events to be active during your campaign, this might be for you!

This is a very simple mod and the numbers can be adjusted in
XComGameData.ini
in
Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2002825105

If you are looking for some variety along with the additional Dark Event spawns, check out these mods:

Compatibility:
  • This mod should work with all other Dark Event mods.
  • This mod should be safe to add and remove during a running campaign. No guarantees though.
  • Will most likely not work with Covert Infiltration as the mod uses its own method of overriding the number of Dark Events each month.

@Solaris I'd love a mod that starts you off with X number of Dark Events active.

Thank you for the clarification. I wouldn't have asked but there are some masochists in the XCOM community who'd love a suicidal amount of dark events in the endgame.

So, does the number of dark events continue to increase from month to month? Like will there be 5 and then 6, 7, etc.?

Could you do a dark even mod that adds some events that can increase boss pods/monster appearances like Sectopods and rulers?

It feels like I got to hunt for Sectopods to actually fight them outside of a few select missions.

I love this mod as it makes me cry. I am tempted to agree with other who want to counter more, but then it would defeat the purpose of this.

For me, I started using "Mission Mania [WOTC]" Mod that allows for 2 council missions and 2 retaliation missions per month, and sometimes you get a 2nd guerrilla ops. This allowed me to level up more soldiers quicker before too many dark events became active.

Not that I know of, but I've had 20+ active and I don't see why there would be a hard cap. The detail UI cuts off long before that anyway.

@bstar - do you know what the maximum number of dark events that can be active are? I remember reading about it in an old discussion somewhere.
