Brief Welcoming
Welcome to my second guide on colouring your Signs/Flairs! in TF2. I previously made a guide on how to obtain full colour on your Conscientious Objectors and due to its success and popularity, I've now decided to make the follow-up guide!

We'll be working with the Flair![backpack.tf] which is an all class misc that is customisable!

If you come across any mistakes in the guide, feel free to let me know in the comments and now on to the guide! Enjoy! <3

The Needs and Requirements
Similarly to the Conscientious Objector, you'll need the following items/software:

  • A Collage Maker website! I recommend this one -> Collage Maker[www.befunky.com]
  • A specific file directory!

You won't have to just use the collage maker I've recommended, as long as you're able to change the layout so you can access a 2x2 grid so 4 pictures can be put in 4 different spots! I haven't used any other website other than the Funky Collage Maker as it's very easy to understand and navigate!
Step 1.
Start by finding 1-4 images of your choice. For the sake of keeping this guide short and simple, I'll just be using one image!

I'm gonna be making my Flair! just a picture of Pyrovision Goggles because why on earth wouldn't I wanna make my birthday spy look more beautiful? Just look at him ;w; so pretty ;w; birthday spy tf2

Then, right click your chosen image(s) and click 'Save As' and save it where ever you'll find it most easy to access throughout the tutorial!

Step 2.
The next step involves loading up the website I recommended in the 'Requirements' section of this guide which I'll link here![www.befunky.com]

Once you've loaded up the website, you should see the main page seen below.

After that, look to the top left of the homepage and click the button with a rectangle and 2 squares on it which will be displayed as 'Layouts' which can be seen here!
Step 3.
Then after clicking 'Layouts' click the button saying 'Grid'

After selecting 'Grid', choose the 2x2 grid and it'll enlarge that specified one onto your screen!

Once this is selected, head back to the main page which can be accessed by clicking the 'Image Manager' button which is located at the top left of the website!
Step 4.
The next step involves, clicking on 'Computer' and finding where you saved the picture(s) that you want to put on your Flair!

If you're using more than one, open them all using the computer button and drag them into the 2x2 Grid.

Double click on your selected picture and it'll be added to the website as shown here:

Step 5.
As I said before, if you're using more than 1 picture then drag them all into the 2x2 grid individually!

HOWEVER, if you're only using 1 image, then proceed to just click the 'Autofill' button and it'll put the same image into all the cells for you respectively!

Step 6.
Follow up by then clicking on 'Save', then 'Computer' which can be seen at the top middle-part of the screen!

Afterwards, click the PNG button and save it as whatever name you want and wherever you want as long as you can open it again in the paintnet website linked in the requirements.

Once you've found where you've saved it, right click the file, click open with and open it with paintnet

Step 7.
Once you've opened your image in paintnet, head to the top and click 'Image' then press the button that says 'Resize'.

Like the Conscientious Objector, resize the image to 128x128!

Untick the 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' box or you won't be able to get 128x128 and if it's resized anything else but 128x128, it also won't work!

Then click ok once that's done, then click ok again on the tab that shows up!
Step 8.
Once it's resized, click 'File' at the top left of paintnet and click 'Save As'.

Don't save it anywhere, follow the next steps exactly as you see them, any spelling mistakes in the directory or any non-capitalised letters will make it not work, so pay attention!

If you do not have this directory then make them yourself!

> tf > custom > userstuff > scripts > items > custom_texture_blend_layers

Once you have this directory, save the image as this exact name: flair_template_guide.png
It must be a png file!

Once this is done, click ok and then launch Team Fortress 2!

Step 9.
When you've opened TF2, click on your Decal Tool and apply it to your Flair!

Then click on 'Use an image from your computer' and head to the directory you made in the previous step and open up your flair_template_guide.png file

When you click 'Next' it won't show up in colour but don't fear, there's a simple solution to this monstrosity :o

Simply just head down to the Color Palette and drag the little grey bar all the way to the left so it just shows a white bar and the colour will be revealed like magic!

Step 10.
NOW ALL IS DONE! JUST CLICK NEXT THEN APPLY!

And there you have it! Full colour on your Flair!

All that remains now is to smile at your accomplishment! <3
My sincerest Thank You's!

It is! You can either screenshot the 2x2 from the 3x3 version or just delete the cells - you can still use it that way for free
