Prototype 2 Collectables Guide

This is a guide to help you find all those pesky blackboxes, deadly lairs, and soon to be dead field teams in Prototype 2. Finding them all gives you 3 achievements.

The information below is divided by the collectables you seek, and then by zones.

Blackboxes

Blackboxes, the most abundant collectable in Prototype 2. You find them off the corpse of a dead enemy. They make a beeping noise and blink with a red light.

Total # of Blackboxes = 45

Below is the location of blackboxes in the Yellow Zone, the Green Zone, and the Red Zone. (In that order because of how the game progresses.

*Note, if I have not included a picture of an area, it is because that area has no blackboxes.*

If demand is high, I will add pictures for each blackbox.

Yellow Zone Blackboxes

You start in the Yellow Zone. So it is only natural to start looking for those red beeping things called Blackboxes here.

They are arranged by district, for easy searching.

Green Zone Blackboxes

The second island, the Green Zone, is full of blackboxes. Here are their locations.

Red Zone Blackboxes

Blackboxes are sprinkled like candy over the Red Zone. You'll have to look harder here because of all the big buildings.

Field Teams

Field Teams are a collection of enemies, usually several scientist with a couple guards. They are not very hard to finish off. In fact, they often appear on your minimap as a small collection of white dots.

Total # of Field Teams = 28

You will find the location of them all below. (Same organization as before with Yellow, Green, then Red Zones.)

*Note, any areas I have not included do not have Field Teams*

Yellow Zone Field Teams

Since you start in the Yellow Zone, lets get to work killing off those field teams. Use the maps located below to start hunting.

Red Zone Field Teams

The Red Zone, a dangerous place. Better get these scientists before something else does!

Green Zone Field Teams

They think they are safe in the Green Zone. They couldn't be more wrong.

Lairs

Lairs are the fewest, and the most fun of the group. Go in, kill everything, earn rewards. Below are the locations of the lairs in Yellow, Green, and Red Zones.

Total # of Lairs = 9

*Note, if an area is not included below, that is because there is nothing there.*

Yellow Zone Lair

There is only 1 Lair in the Yellow Zone.

Green Zone Lairs

There are 4 Lairs in the Green Zone.

Red Zone Lairs

There are 4 more Lairs to find in the Red Zone. Good Luck.

Bruh its so fucking easy to find them. The collectibles always have sort of pulse on the map u just waypoint where its coming from and u will find it eventually tada.

There are several guides that may be able to help you, just click Prototype steam page and go to the community guides. Prototype 2 is pretty badly optimized for PC, so it could be multiple things. Good luck.

Hello everyone i m newbie just recently got steam and both prototype 2 but it crashed on the moment after i installed and tried to launch after the crash when it runs in game screen it shows(failed to save game data) how to fix this problem i tried replacing files that steam showed had to be replaced but it did not help,i run as admin did not help and i have admin acc on my windows,looking everywhere for information i love the game and i both it with money so i expect to be worthy of it and run as it suppose to please help !?
