Welcome. Same for me - finished BM quite some time ago by now. Considering to do a revisit later on this year though as I've heard a lot of positive feedback from friends on changes done since 0.9/1.0.
Also a bit curious if R7 3800X + RTX 3080 would be able to provide maxed out steady 140FPS experience @1440p + 4xSGSSAA. With R7 2700X + GTX 1070 it wasn't able to cut it, though DSR 1920p + 2xSGSSAA was producing nice picture with FPS floating at around 90-100 resulting in a pretty smooth experience thx to G-SYNC. Main deal is to manage to find enough free time (yeah, Real Life (TM), I'm looking at you :-D).
Right click on Black Mesa in your Steam library. At the bottom of the properties tab, under "LAUNCH OPTIONS", type in -console
That's it. Hit tilde (~) to open it.
