"That new recruit...he's got some secrets to hide. He doesn't take off that balaclava, even when he's lovin'...'

This mod adds 30+ new hairstyles that include some kind of accessory. These accessories might be worn or seen underneath a hat, such as a headband, a face mask or even a balaclava. Hopefully, this can help create unique appearances for your colonists and maybe even help you develop theories about their characteristics. How did Dave get that eye patch? How come Veska is so sentimental about that bandana she wears?

This mod has been totally made for fun, so If you use it, I hope you enjoy it!





Q. Does this mod still work in 1.4?
A. Yup!

Q. Does this mod support Humanoid Alien Races 2.0?
A. Technically yes, however, I can't be certain as to how well the hairstyles will be mapped to alien faces. To my understanding, this mod changes how hairs are scaled to pawn faces, and that might mess up some of the accessories such as the balaclava. If anyone who uses this mod can give me more details, that'd be great!

Q. The headpieces and accessories in this pack are really dark on my pawns.
A. This can be fixed by downloading Hair Modding Plus. Once enabled, the headpieces will always maintain their colour and brightness.

Q. This pawn's beard is overlapping his accessory! Help!
A. Unfortunately, some of these hairstyles add features that overlap the chin area of pawns (eg. face masks and balaclavas), they might visually clash with beards. This won't crash your game or anything, but it might look strange, having a balaclava-clad pawn with a bushy beard.

This mod has since been redone and updated to HD: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2944982026

I've pushed an update to this version, which is now the legacy version, with added biotech functionality and the missing hairstyles that weren't in the original upload. The Def names have also changed, so your pawns might have been rendered bald after restarting the game. (Sorry!)

Hi, I already made a comment on your glasses hairstyles mod, but just for the benefit of clarity and anyone else seeing the same issue, I have a pawn with the "long hair" gene from biotech and none of the hairstyles from this mod show up for her when I try to use the styling bench. I would think at least goddess and fairy wreath should be long hair.

It seems that these hair styles don't show up for bio-tech. I'm guessing they were never each given a hair category and thus just are being ignored.

@Kodiak56 Oh, great spot, thank you! I can't believe I missed the Def! I'll make sure to update the Defs in this mod later this week!

Any chance we could get a version of the female goggles style with twin braids or low pigtails?
